De Koning — Restaurant in Alkmaar

I have eaten there only once a little snacks. Other times I have gone there to party. It's a nice place and good music but way too many people inside and I don't like that at all... But the food pics look good and I have been thinking of going to eat there some day! Then I can tell more about the food. EDIT. I went there to eat a hamburger and it was really good! We ate here twice recently. First time they forgot to put our order in so we had an hour wait for food, though it was nice when it came. Second time we ordered the sharing meat platter, with a side of wedges (wokkels) that we’re completely burnt and not edible. As the server asked how our food was collecting our plates we told them, they said ‘oh’ and then charged us full price for something we couldn’t eat. Can be good food but hit and miss, but mainly, poor customer service. We won’t...

Really can't say enough good things about this place. We took our family of four out for dinner here an were treated to the most deliciously prepared steaks we've had in quite some time. The folks working here are friendly and they provide above average service. The atmosphere is great. We sat inside, but there is also a nice terrace by the canal. If I'm lucky enough to visit Alkmaar again, i will be sure to get a table...
