I had better experience before, normally we went with friends here, but today I had a huge disappointment with the restaurant. We decided to come here to celebrate our anniversary with my partner, expecting great food and service but it was totally the opposite, huge disappointment…

We arrived to the restaurant 18:30, the restaurant was not very busy. Just a regular Tuesday evening. We got our menu, had starter and main dish. The starter came quiet quick, and was tasty. But then for the main dish, we waited over an hour. We got our dish around 19:45. The food came out in a nice plate, personally had a steak, but when I tasted it was very chewy and nearly raw. No seasoning, absolutely no taste. After the half piece I had to throw out into my napkin, because I couldn’t handle the food. I left the remaining half piece on the table. I said to the waitress my issue, but in half way she said something and went away. Seems she did not even cared about the situation. Meantime my partner’s dinner was not that bad, he left an empty plate.

Also before the main dish I asked for an second glass of wine, which I waited also an hour and I received after I got my main dish.. Seems that the waiter who served the drinks totally forgot about us.

After our main course because of our anniversary, I did not wanted to ruin our time in the restaurant we ordered a dessert. It was already 20:00 when we ordered our dessert, simple things couple portion shared dessert. We had to wait over half hour just to serve the dessert even asked the waitress if our dessert will be on time, after they served, the spoons were laying in the plate in the chocolate sauce. We asked for a new spoons, and had our dessert.

Right after we did not wanted to stay longer. Paid just before 21:00. Very long service, and I am really disappointed with the quality of the food.

Our anniversary was also ruined because of the experience we went through, I personally came out from the restaurant knowing that we spent over 2,5 hour only having a simple dinner, which...

Als jullie iets meenemen dan zal het zeker attentvolleheid in klanttevreden en qualitatiet/smaak van jullie eten moeten zijn.

Gisteren 24 oktober 2024 all you kan eat spareribs uiteten geweest. Helaas geen goede ervaring Reservering om 18:00.

18:30 recieved drinks and ordered food 18:50 no food arrived

18:58 food meat and french fries arrived and were ice cold sent back to the kitchen 19:10 new food medium cold no wet whipes had to ask 3 x for drink and ketchup 19:42 new order came in

Ordered drink with ice and got drink with out ice No Manager available 6 young girls working and only 2 could be found working and no attention for area next to the door immediately right patio.

19:48 had to ask for drinks again and haf to walk to 2x the Bar to do the order because no one was paying attention or looking to help.

Spareribs no taste, taste like spare ribs from an Albert heijn package cooked. Not grilled and taste of honey and smokey bbq very mininum.

Only nice thing was fries with parmesan and truffel sauce.

All in all not a good experience allocation and allertness of staff plus guidance and kitchen taste in food can be...

It's a pity how much a restaurant can change..

I've been at De Beren or "Bobbie Beer" in the past several times, always good service, value for money and although it was always busy, service was good.

Last week I went to eat there again for my birthday and to be honest, I was disappointed.

Our breadplate we had as an appetizer was only taken when they cleaned the table after desserts. (It was on the table for 2/2,5 hours.) The fish one of my guests had as a main course was very dry, looked like it had been fried instead of baked and was not very tasteful.

Another guest in our party ordered a glass of wine with his main course, which arrived after 45 minutes (we had finished our main course at that time), and when we told our waitress that, she did not apologize and quickly asked if we liked our food, which we found to be a very strange response.

In the end;

The appetizers and desserts were good, the main courses have drastically dropped in quality in my opinion. If someone sees empty plates of appetizers or empty cola bottles, please collect them and take them away as we had 4 bottles just waiting to be collected for 1 hour. Do something with customer satisfaction and don't just ignore complaints but simply apologize, that would have made a difference to us.

With the current standing in customer service and food level, for this price I would not recommend this at all, which is a pity because I loved...
