I want to share about the pathetic service from woodstone. We went to celebrate the special day in family for which we have reserved the table 2 weeks in advance so that we don't have any hustle at the end. We have a small baby with us that is why it was specially mentioned in the booking mail that we want a corner table. We reached there and asked the person for the seat , she gave us a table just at the entrance. As a mother I need to feed my baby anytime he cries. I was not comfortable with the place given. We asked them that there is a corner table available and we have also made the reservation so may be we can swap or may be get a side table. But she was least interested in understanding our situation. They were like if you want to sit here it's fine other wise it's your choice. We leave the place without having food. I am not sure what should we have said to reserve the table with our choice so we can enjoy our special evening. We won't recommend anyone to this hotel on the basis of service. Manager didn't even asked us once to solve our problem when we left. They were least interested...
Read moreWent there last Friday night, and I was very happy to get a table in such a busy restaurant, without a reservation. The staff was very friendly and helpful and our drinks and appetizer came quite fast, but then... disaster.
Between appetizer and starter it took 40-50 minutes!! We were almost to the point of leaving when the dishes finally arrived. I won't comment on the food because by that time we were so hungry we gulped it quite fast, and a look at a table next to us waiting for desert and having a similar experience, made us realize that we would be having it somewhere else. It was quite puzzling as they do appear to have enough waitresses, so I imagine some sort of bottleneck at the kitchen...? Lucky us...
We have been at Woodstone several times in the past, and it had a good experience before, but I must admit we never tried it on a busy day, which from other reviews, it appears that our own experience is quite a common experience. What I would say is, it is still a nice place to get pizza and wine but if you see it full, AVOID IT like...
Read moreWhat a big change when reopened after the lock down... Next to Vapiano it used to be best place for pizza in Almere, but now things are completely different (vapiano is gone, woodstone has changed...). Instead of a good quality ingredients on the pizza, what you get now is a cheap cheese which does not even taste close to mozarella, rucola which could be called fresh a few days ago and all this prepared in a fast food style, but brought to the table almost an hour after your order was placed. The dough is tasteless, without a pinch of salt, over baked as well (cutting a slice was a challange). Instead of a house made sauce, pizza is covered with tomato pulp straight from the can. In a few words, you get pizza experience same as by Happy Italy, but twice price and half size. Big disappointment. Funny, not sure whether it's only our case, but starters were brought to the table just after...
