During my recent visit to The Indian Kitchen in Amsterdam, I had the pleasure of indulging in a delightful Indian dining experience. From the aromatic spices to the flavorful dishes, this restaurant succeeded in capturing the essence of Indian cuisine. Here's a detailed review of my experience: The highlight of The Indian Kitchen was undoubtedly the food. The menu featured a wide array of Indian dishes that showcased the rich and diverse flavors of the cuisine. Each dish was meticulously prepared with authentic spices and fresh ingredients, resulting in a burst of flavors with every bite. From the creamy butter chicken to the fragrant biryanis and the delectable vegetarian options, the culinary journey was a true delight for the taste buds. The portions were generous, and the presentation was visually appealing, adding to the overall dining experience. In addition to the exceptional food, the service at The Indian Kitchen was commendable. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were happy to provide recommendations and accommodate any dietary preferences or allergies. The waitstaff ensured that our needs were met promptly, and they were always ready to assist with a smile. The service contributed to a comfortable and enjoyable dining atmosphere. The ambiance of The Indian Kitchen was warm and inviting, creating a cozy setting for a meal. The tasteful decor, combined with soft lighting and Indian-inspired accents, added to the overall charm of the restaurant. The seating arrangements were comfortable, and the noise level was moderate, allowing for pleasant conversations without disruptions. When it comes to pricing, The Indian Kitchen could offer better value for money. While not the cheapest Indian restaurant in Amsterdam, the prices were reasonable and justified by the flavorful and authentic dining experience. In conclusion, The Indian Kitchen in Amsterdam is a haven for Indian food enthusiasts. With its tantalizing flavors, attentive service, and inviting ambiance, it provides a memorable culinary journey. Whether you are craving classic Indian favorites or exploring new dishes, The Indian Kitchen is a reliable choice for a taste of India in Amsterdam. #Dishtapproved

We have chosen this restaurant to celebrate an event with my team. We have reserved for 20, but eventually only 14 members could attend. The host made us fit at 3 connected tables, which was good. The food was OK, all kinds of small dishes accompanied by naan and rice. We opt for a set menu for a fixed price pp. My favourites were the appetizers and the mango lassi. Come the bill, we still paid for 20 people because they say we should have told the kitchen that we were only with 14. I did not discuss it anymore, because I don't support these kinds of tricks. So for me, even if the food was good, I will unfortunately not recommend this place anymore. As a reply to the restaurant's reaction, let me also mention that we were seated together also last-minute, since they prepared a long table for 10 and wanted the other 4 to sit separately. From the start the host knew we were just 14, and it was very obvious that it will remain so since there were no seats left for any additional attendees. If it was just a matter of a few euros, I wouldn't mind. But mind you please that this is 300 euros more that we budgeted for. What bothers me most is the continuous defense that this is standard practice. It is not!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Halal What an amazing experience at the Indian Kitchen Restaurant in Amstelveen! 🌟 The beautiful interior immediately caught our eye, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious, bursting with authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. šŸ›āœØ One of the standout aspects of our visit was how seriously they take food allergies. Both the waitstaff and management went through all the ingredients, double and triple-checking to ensure everything was safe for us. This level of care gave us immense confidence in dining here. šŸ‘šŸ’Æ The staff were fantastic and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we stepped in. I had the pleasure of celebrating my boyfriend's birthday at this special Restaurant, and I must say it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The owner of the restaurant went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of the celebration was perfect, making it a truly unforgettable evening.

From the moment I approached the owner with my idea to surprise my boyfriend, they were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They assisted me in planning and providing valuable suggestions that elevated the ambiance to a whole new level. Their attention to detail and commitment to excellence were truly commendable.

One of the highlights of our evening was being allowed to bring our own cake to the restaurant. The owner not only welcomed the idea but also made arrangements for us to enjoy the cake right there at the restaurant. This gesture added a personal touch to the celebration, and we appreciated the flexibility and openness of the restaurant's policy.

Now, let's talk about the food! It was an absolute gastronomic delight. The menu offered a wide range of authentic Indian dishes that left our taste buds craving for more. Each dish was meticulously prepared and beautifully presented. Despite having a large group of guests, the restaurant flawlessly coordinated the service, ensuring that every dish arrived on time and in perfect harmony with the rest of the meal. The flavors, aromas, and textures of the food were simply outstanding, a true testament to the culinary mastery of the restaurant's chefs.

The waiters at the restaurant were not only attentive and professional but also incredibly kind and friendly. They took care of our every need, making us feel like VIPs throughout the evening. When it was time for the cake, the waiters surprised us by bringing it to our table with a magnificent firecracker display. It was an enchanting moment that added an extra touch of excitement and joy to the celebration.

Overall, my experience at this Indian Restaurant was exceptional. The owner's dedication and involvement in every aspect of the celebration, the allowance to bring our own cake, the phenomenal food, and the warm service provided by the waiters all contributed to an unforgettable birthday experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience filled with flavors, warmth, and unparalleled...

My recent visit to The Indian Kitchen was a complete disaster, and I feel compelled to share my overwhelmingly negative experience. From the tasteless food to the indifferent staff and unapologetic manager, this establishment left a sour taste in my mouth, figuratively and literally.

Let's start with the much-anticipated Tandoor Taste Platter. The whole concept of tandoor cooking was butchered here. Instead of the authentic clay oven experience, it was clear that the chicken had been boiled into oblivion, given a hasty marinade, and then barely graced by the tandoor for a shockingly short period. The result? A tasteless and rubbery mess that barely resembled anything close to traditional tandoor dishes.

The Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken were a disgrace. It felt like they used the same poorly cooked chicken from the Tandoor Platter for both dishes. The overwhelming presence of tomato paste was not only unappetizing but also drowned out any semblance of flavor. It's as if they raided a surplus of canned tomatoes and decided to dump them into every dish.

And then there was the Dahl – a dish that came with an unexpected and downright unacceptable surprise: a stone. Yes, you read that correctly. Despite my shock and concern, the manager didn't offer an apology. Instead, they insisted it was a black pepper, an absurd claim given its hardness and undeniable lack of crushability. This blatant denial of a serious issue was beyond disappointing.

The lackluster service was the cherry on top of this awful experience. The staff displayed an appalling attitude, and the manager's dismissive responses only added insult to injury. It's clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority for The Indian Kitchen.

In conclusion, save yourself the disappointment and avoid The Indian Kitchen at all costs. From subpar food to unapologetic management, this place fails on every level. There are countless other Indian restaurants that offer a far superior...
