In short, the overall experience was amazing! Definitely well worth it, superb variety and great quality. Staffs were very friendly.
In more details... Variety: loads of options to choose from, ranging from fresh ingredients where you have to cook yourself to hot dishes where you can eat while waiting for your BBQ to be ready. There were variety of sauce options and different mixture which you can tailored to your style. Quality & taste: all seafoods were fresh and they taste really good. The meat & lamb slices for hotpot came frozen but not a big deal as they still taste nice. We ordered two broth, one plain and one spicy, and both compliments each other. One small minus point on the taste is that most fresh meats for BBQ are a bit too salty and it tone down the actual taste of the meat itself. Service: staffs were super friendly and they were willing to walk you through how things work and even how to mix your sauces. The empty dishes were taken away to clear up space as needed, the soups were refilled when they are half way through, and the food came quickly. One small possible improvement here could be to replace the baking paper for the BBQ grill half way through as it burned up after about an hour. Price & time limit: it was 31.50 Euro/person, excluding beverages. We ordered one large bottle of water which cost 6 Euro and it was more than enough for two person. The staff told me there is a time limit of of 2.5 hours, but we only used 1.5-2 hours and we were super full. You have unlimited rounds of order and you can order at most 5 dishes per person per round. Dessert: there were numerous options for dessert. We tried different tastes of ice cream, creme bulee, and coconut pudding; all of them were great and it's always nice to finish with something sweet after having flavorful dishes.
All in all, it was a really good experience and way worth it. I went there for my birthday lunch and I would definitely go...
Read moreHands down the BEST hot pot and grill place in Amsterdam (if not the whole of the Netherlands). We have literally stopped going to other places because we don’t feel like anywhere comes close to the food quality and selection + price/quality ratio that you get here.
The service is fast- like most all you can eat places you just get an iPad (and now you can also do QR and order through your phone) and tick the items you want and they’ll come in 5 ish minutes (sometimes 10 if they are cooked dishes).
The regular, spicy, and chicken soup bases are all great- we always get the dual hot pot base so we can have two soup bases (one spicy and one non spicy).
The regular hotpot and grill meat and seafood options are all there- pork belly, beef slices, shrimp paste, shrimps, pork ribs, and more. The hot dishes are also good- in particular would recommend the fried duck and fried pork. They also have an open fridge where you can get vegetables (bok choy, spinach, etc) and in particular you MUST get the lamb skewers- you can take as many as you like and we are eating these in between every round because they are one of the best things here (the seasoning is kind of like Mongolian bbq and it’s phenomenal).
Finally dessert is included- they have some fried banana which you can just take and also you can order ice cream with them. The best option that we normally get is the shaved ice (mango)- it’s got the Taiwanese ice...
Read moreYesterday came here for the first time with a friend and her baby for lunch. A very friendly lady welcomed us. I was a bit sceptical about the place and the atmosphere since we're the only guests for the whole lunch until we checked out (around 17:00ish) and the lady stil has to sweep the restaurant floor while we're just seated, it's not a so nice view but we don't mind but maybe better not to do that next time since the opening time is at 12:00 as my friend told me and we're there at 14.30ish.. Anyway, when the hotpot broth and all the fresh seafood and veggies came I started to get excited and even more so when it all tasted very delicious, except the white rice it was too dry for the baby to eat, maybe left over from last night was it but other than that everything was ok. We didn't get to try everything we wanted because we're so stuffed and didn't want to waste food, so we'll definitely come back for that. It was a wholesome experience, especially for my friend because it was her idea and she came all the way from Groningen hoping to try this restaurant and she is very satisfied at the end. I'm sorry for the bad reviews I just red but it don't justify our experience. Thank you!...
