I once again was reminded why going for dinner in Amsterdam can be disappointing. We went here Thursday before seeing a show at the Panama.
We were seated, drink order taken and drinks came quite quick. Then nothing for a while, our waitress sat down to eat (which she probably deserved) but for nearly 25 mins we had to wait to order food and only after several attempts a waiter helped us, the other one kind of ignored us.
The food then came quick but items were missing. 2nd round the same - especially the Calamaris was overly salty. We tried each time to mention that but empty plates were removed, no question for further drinks and off the service ran.
When we mentioned that we put items on the order the answer was: no, I did not ring it in so you did not order. Dessert as well was not amazing - the food was ok and tasty but for 1 cocktail, 1 soft drink and some Tapas we paid 180€ - in my eyes quality and price were not adding up.
For me its clear - it was a...
Read moreUgh don’t waste your time or money. This place is all around a terrible waste of beautiful waterfront scenery. The place was empty at peak lunch hour, and it didn’t take long to see why. Service is a disaster, the waitress was clearly annoyed and a little hostile even. Rolling her eyes when we were asking for the check, like seriously. If you don’t want to be open, turn the sign around and shut down. It would be doing us all a favor. The food was out quick, but lacked any quality. We got empanadas, then saw them in the ready made food section of the grocery store down the street the same night! The calamari was frozen, rubbery, and soggy. I couldn’t even stomach it. The only good thing was the lamb stew. At these prices, with this bad of an experience, I can see why they don’t get any business. Avoid at all costs!!! Go to the grocery store down the road for...
Read moreFood wasn't bad (but not great either); the service however ... incredible. The food seems to arrive at random; you get one plate and then half hour later a second plate arrives. Looks like they prepare it in batches; one round of batatas bravas, half an hour later a plate of prawns, then ten minutes later pollo. With the result that everybody at your table is eating at different times most of the time, hardly ever together. The worst part is getting drinks; after having asked one waiter twice and another waiter again if we could order more drinks, I gave up totally embezzled. Never experienced having to ask three times for a drink. Paid the bill and went somewhere else, never to return again. One last thing; watch out for screws sticking point up out of the table blade. Reason for a law suit if you...
