The photos of this hotel promise way more than what it provides.

First, we arrived (the hotel main door had a broken glass which is already a bad first impression) and the hotel staff only had available a room with twin beds (it seems it was not possible to book specifically a double bed room as this was subject to availability) where the hotel staff proposed if we wanted to upgrade for 50e/night for a better grade room with double beds (which they had several available) instead of free upgrade, even if we were going to stay there only for 1 night and more than one higher grade room was available at check-in time (meaning it is not going to be booked for that night so it is going to be empty for that night). We refused to pay extra and the hotel staff gave us a room with the view of the railways and a construction site where you could hear several trains passing by (we heard 2 in 5min). After having discovered this “great” feature of the room, we called the hotel reception and they agreed to gave us another room (still with twin beds). This room had a much better view where you could see a residential building and the canal partially. Considering this, it seems really odd and unprofessional from the Hotel staff to first do not offer you a free upgrade due to the fact that you have requested one double bed instead of two twins as after 4pm no one is going to suddenly book 5 rooms in that category so they prefer to have them empty than to satisfy a customer, and second to offer the worst view/room available even if they had other rooms within the same category which had better features, so the fact that we needed to call and bring all our luggages again to the reception to then get a fairer room seems inadequate for a 4 stars hotel.

Second, the location of the hotel seems near in maps, however, when you get there the road is really bumpy and it is really hard or almost impossible to be reached on foot, unless you want to walk through construction sites and on the road due to the lack of sidewalks/pedestrian areas near the hotel.

Third, the room has an interesting interior design due to its concrete uncovered/unpainted walls (which I am familiar with), however, all electricity/heating cables and pipes are showing on the ceiling, which did not give a sense of safety, specially in the bathroom.

Finally, the breakfast is fair if you eat meat/fish or you are vegetarian; however, the choices are really poor if you are vegan (almost no fruits and just bread with margarine).

The only good comments I can make about this hotel are about the fitness and wellness area. However, thanks to the treatment of your hotel staff I will always avoid any hotel part of Inntel...

This building feels more like a parking garage or office, than a hotel.

The construction of the room is poor.

One of the walls in our room is unfinished concrete with stains of drinks/etc, and the other is thin drywall with wallpaper made to appear like a grimy concrete subway wall. Concrete is very difficult to clean and sanitize, and so, the walls in these rooms can never be clean. There is visible ducting, conduit, wires and more across the ceiling.

The door to the bathroom bumps into the drywall of the next room upon opening (the stop wasn’t set properly). The walls have visible holes and patches where things were mounted. The walls of the bathroom are not tile, but some kind of plastic or vinyl material.

The entire room is dirty and stained. Surfaces were not wiped at all or for weeks. Very dusty. The outside of the toilet is covered in bodily fluids. The bed frame has multiple large stains along the bottom.

Above our bed is a welded steel monolith, and it doesn’t make sense at all.

The room with the “panorama” view looks out into an unfinished train yard. The view is unspectacular despite being 15 floors up. Trains make noise and squeak by, so don’t expect quiet.

Being cashless, this hotel would make Klaus Schwab happy — and with that, it’s more fitting for people his age (50-60+). There are a number of amenities offered at this hotel; but do remember: THIS HOTEL IS CASHLESS.

Despite being named “Landmark” [who knows why — definitely not the staff], there are no landmarks nearby; Amsterdam center is 20 minutes away, on one of two trams. Tram 7 goes to Museumplein, which makes this ideal for aging tourists that don’t care about being near the lively center. Tram 26 goes to central station and it’s inconveniently located at the back of Central Station, so you will need to walk through the station to reach the rest of the network.

The path to the hotel from the nearest tram station is rough and under construction.

The price was high in 2025 when we checked in 200 Euros — excluding a city fee for a total of 240 euro — and I wouldn’t pay that much for this place again. I’m not sure why we’re paying a city fee when this really feels like a suburb.

The good thing is the windows open wide, and it’s tall, so if the pavement doesn’t kill you, the train tracks will. Hah.

For this situation, the management offered two options as a resolution: a refund or cleaning the room. We have to leave the room for it to be cleaned. We’d prefer to have been put in a better/cleaner room, or moved to a better Inntel hotel. They stated this hotel was fully booked, but that is not the case from the hotel’s own...

Where do I even start? I had so many issues with Inntel, beginning well before my arrival. This hotel has to be the least flexible hotel I've ever dealt with. Poor communication prior to arriving and very shady with how my credit card information is stored and used. Unfortunately, that was just the beginning of my issues. • Outlets - Before my arrival, I had just came from Scotland and Spain and the hotels I stayed in all had USB ports built into the wall outlets. Not Inntel. This forced me to spread out all my appliances throughout the entire room. Considering the price I paid, this simple inclusion would have made such a huge difference. • Bed - Clearly this hotel spent the least amount of money, and thought, into the comfort of their beds. Not only were the beds cheap, sunken it, noisy and painful but the pillows felt like they were stuffed with cheap cotton balls that shifted from one side to the other. One side of the pillow was full while the other side was completely flat. Speaking of the bed, the hotel mistakenly had my reservation down for 2 adults so I had double of those horrible beds. Because the beds were on wheels, there was an annoying gap in between each bed and the towel I used to try and close the gap repeatedly was no match against the mobile beds that shifted with the slightest movement. • Shower - Who in the heck designed this restroom? From the non-existent coverage (thin single window pane) to the floor that collected a stubborn, non-drainable water puddle, I was forced to put towels all over the floor to soak up the water that was sat for several hours. • Lighting - Unless the window curtains were pulled open, this room had horrible lighting (see pictures). The restroom lighting was also horrible. • Thin Walls - The least of the horrible issues were the incredibly thin walls. Thanks goodness I had respectful neighbors who were gone most of the time but I was able to make out several noises through the wall.
