The photos of this hotel promise way more than what it provides.
First, we arrived (the hotel main door had a broken glass which is already a bad first impression) and the hotel staff only had available a room with twin beds (it seems it was not possible to book specifically a double bed room as this was subject to availability) where the hotel staff proposed if we wanted to upgrade for 50e/night for a better grade room with double beds (which they had several available) instead of free upgrade, even if we were going to stay there only for 1 night and more than one higher grade room was available at check-in time (meaning it is not going to be booked for that night so it is going to be empty for that night). We refused to pay extra and the hotel staff gave us a room with the view of the railways and a construction site where you could hear several trains passing by (we heard 2 in 5min). After having discovered this “great” feature of the room, we called the hotel reception and they agreed to gave us another room (still with twin beds). This room had a much better view where you could see a residential building and the canal partially. Considering this, it seems really odd and unprofessional from the Hotel staff to first do not offer you a free upgrade due to the fact that you have requested one double bed instead of two twins as after 4pm no one is going to suddenly book 5 rooms in that category so they prefer to have them empty than to satisfy a customer, and second to offer the worst view/room available even if they had other rooms within the same category which had better features, so the fact that we needed to call and bring all our luggages again to the reception to then get a fairer room seems inadequate for a 4 stars hotel.
Second, the location of the hotel seems near in maps, however, when you get there the road is really bumpy and it is really hard or almost impossible to be reached on foot, unless you want to walk through construction sites and on the road due to the lack of sidewalks/pedestrian areas near the hotel.
Third, the room has an interesting interior design due to its concrete uncovered/unpainted walls (which I am familiar with), however, all electricity/heating cables and pipes are showing on the ceiling, which did not give a sense of safety, specially in the bathroom.
Finally, the breakfast is fair if you eat meat/fish or you are vegetarian; however, the choices are really poor if you are vegan (almost no fruits and just bread with margarine).
The only good comments I can make about this hotel are about the fitness and wellness area. However, thanks to the treatment of your hotel staff I will always avoid any hotel part of Inntel...

The construction of the room is poor.
One of the walls in our room is unfinished concrete with stains of drinks/etc, and the other is thin drywall with wallpaper made to appear like a grimy concrete subway wall. Concrete is very difficult to clean and sanitize, and so, the walls in these rooms can never be clean. There is visible ducting, conduit, wires and more across the ceiling.
The door to the bathroom bumps into the drywall of the next room upon opening (the stop wasn’t set properly). The walls have visible holes and patches where things were mounted. The walls of the bathroom are not tile, but some kind of plastic or vinyl material.
The entire room is dirty and stained. Surfaces were not wiped at all or for weeks. Very dusty. The outside of the toilet is covered in bodily fluids. The bed frame has multiple large stains along the bottom.
Above our bed is a welded steel monolith, and it doesn’t make sense at all.
The room with the “panorama” view looks out into an unfinished train yard. The view is unspectacular despite being 15 floors up. Trains make noise and squeak by, so don’t expect quiet.
Being cashless, this hotel would make Klaus Schwab happy — and with that, it’s more fitting for people his age (50-60+). There are a number of amenities offered at this hotel; but do remember: THIS HOTEL IS CASHLESS.
Despite being named “Landmark” [who knows why — definitely not the staff], there are no landmarks nearby; Amsterdam center is 20 minutes away, on one of two trams. Tram 7 goes to Museumplein, which makes this ideal for aging tourists that don’t care about being near the lively center. Tram 26 goes to central station and it’s inconveniently located at the back of Central Station, so you will need to walk through the station to reach the rest of the network.
The path to the hotel from the nearest tram station is rough and under construction.
The price was high in 2025 when we checked in 200 Euros — excluding a city fee for a total of 240 euro — and I wouldn’t pay that much for this place again. I’m not sure why we’re paying a city fee when this really feels like a suburb.
The good thing is the windows open wide, and it’s tall, so if the pavement doesn’t kill you, the train tracks will. Hah.
For this situation, the management offered two options as a resolution: a refund or cleaning the room. We have to leave the room for it to be cleaned. We’d prefer to have been put in a better/cleaner room, or moved to a better Inntel hotel. They stated this hotel was fully booked, but that is not the case from the hotel’s own...
