De Japanner Strandeiland — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I tried this place once and ordered a sake. Unfortunately, the drink tasted extremely unpleasant, almost like dirty water. When I pointed this out to the waiter, they admitted it was in fact just water. I was then offered another glass of sake, which I accepted, but I was still charged for it despite the mistake. What worried me most was the uncertainty about where that water came from, especially since the sake was poured from an already opened bottle. We have been visiting Japanner for many years now (started with the one in de Pijp, then West, now Strandeiland), and the quality of the food never disappoints(very nice cocktails too, I love the wasabi one). Yes, true that the service at this location can be messy sometimes (it really depends a lot, when Yoshi is around it’s usually smooth, but there were more hectic summer days). First time this ever happened to me. I am very surprised about the way of welcoming. After being seated for 10 minutes we ordered to the waiter. After ordering, a different assistant told us that they would only take orders from "Reservations". We were astonished by the way the other assistant told us.
