IJscuypje IJburg — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I have celiac disease and If you are like me or with gluten intolerant or allergic to gluten avoid this place. A young woman who served me the icecream had no idea of what gluten is when I asked if any flavour contained gluten. She said everything was fine cause there is no flour in the icecream. While chatting I then noticed that some flavours had actually the ear of the wheat icon on them so I told her: ‘ah look it’s marked here! These flavours contain gluten then’ and she replied: ‘oh no, that sign is for decoration ‘ 🤦🏻‍♀️ Unacceptable reply by a person who works in catering and should know allergies! I ended up buying only one icecream for my friend not for me as I don’t trust somebody who does not have knowledge of allergies and works in a icecream shop. Please train your personnel!

Really delicious ice-cream with reasonable price, I have tried pistachio, mocha, banana, strawberry cheesecake and hazelnut flavors from this store already, all were very good, I can really taste the nice ingredients they were using in the ice cream. Can’t wait to try...
