Lalla Rookh — Restaurant in Amsterdam

First time eater of Surinese foods, was really impressed with the complex flavours in the Roti Kipfillet, so flavourful and mouth-watering! It was a shame that I found this place on my last day because I would definitely go back there!

Very rude lady behind the counter. We are foreigners and she would not help explain the menu. Then when asked for more hot sauce (she only provided one tablespoon sized container for 40 euros worth of food), she wouldn’t give any extra. I also think she over charged us for the food because we couldn’t understand the menu. Awful experience, will never go again. Food wasn’t even cooked all the way. Health...

This is hands down the best Roti I know to exist.

Me and a group of friends get roti here often, and it's amazing every, single, time. We order the large portion so we can eat it again the day after, or just share a single large portion between to people. The large oprtion is massive, be warned :)

The yellow "sambal" on sale here (€6,50!!) is worth every single cent, and I make sure to always have a jar...
