Last weekend I visited this area of Amsterdam and my boyfriend and I were looking for somewhere to eat. Thinking this would be a restaurant, we walked to this place, only to discover that you had to order online using thuisbezorgd to come collect the food. Confused as we were, the owner let us in and as we made our order, he prepared it for us while we waited. We were surprised by such kindness and the food was delicious! This man deserves all the attention for his kitchen masterpieces 👏🏽🔥

WARNING - this place doesn't exist anymore. I recently ordered from them via their website but when I got to the address to pick up (I had paid online already), other residents at this location told me that The Hopper had moved out months ago. I did get my money back after a few days, but it was still very annoying and I want to make sure no one else falls for...
