The Poke Maniacs van hasseltweg — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Terrible! 90 minutes to receive delivery! They don't even have the manners to call to apologise about their delay or to make it up to customers: the lady on the phone invented some half story about a road accident when I called her, and then she had some other story about having lots of customers. The delivery guy did not even carry change whereas I had made a note of that in my order. He said that deliveries start at 4pm: I had ordered at 3.55pm, so why do they even take orders at 3.55pm then? And why does it still take 90minutes from then onwards? Edamame beans were overcooked: tasteless. Seaweed was small portion and warm: yuck. Prawns were ok but not hot, and small in size. Pokebowl wasn't nice: very dry (why so stingey with sauce?!?), huge chunks of green chili totally inedible and ruined the dish, I had to add 3 of my own sauces and spices to give my dish more flavour while removing these huge chunks of chili, poke box is FAR to small to eat out of. Never again! Big waste of 25 euros! Shame on...

I went to The Poke Maniacs last night, it was almost time for them to close the restaurant. The woman working there was super nice, opened everything again and prepared us some delicious pokes. The ingredients are really fresh and savoury - a lot of variety too!

Ordered a few times and haven’t had any problems so far. They always fill the bowls nicely (even the small one is enough for me) and the ingredients seem fresh and tasty!
