After spending 3 hours of my life building an Ikea closet, my girlfriend invited me to go and eat somewhere i liked. Coba was the first thing that popped in my head as for many months i was desperate to eat here...
So many good reviews about this place... what could go wrong right? The reviews + Mexican food being my favorite ... i really was excited!!!!
A big smile landed on my face as i was coming out of my car as i saw “taco’s al pastor” written on the window, my absolute favorite!! Felt like a kid going to the candy shop!!!
However they did not sell that taco tonight.. :(
First the setting; Really nice look and vibe about this place looked authentic.
Staff; Very friendly and helpfull, a bit too pushy in regards if you would like to order some more food or anything else for my liking...
We ordered: Chorizo and potato taco 3 quesedillas with cactus Langosta de Rio taco Sparking water 2 Watermelon lemonade
Chorizo?? and potato taco... I had a hard time finding any kind of meat on the taco’s and yes some small peices of potato on the taco with tomatillo sauce... Hardly any flavour on the taco as i was eating a small tortilla with a bit of potato... My opinion:REALLY DISAPPOINTED!!
3 quesedillas Tortilla’s with cheese and a piece of cactus. Was okay did not taste anything special... My opinion: a bit disapointed
Langosta del Rio: This was the only taco what had some taste.. a bit... it was presented nicely and looked really good. My opinion:Nope... not satisfied
Watermelon drink aka Sandia; Could taste a bit of watermelon but not much...
All this and it cost us 45 euros for food that hardly had any flavours going we still were hungry...
I know the mexican kitchen as a party in your mouth with every bite and being good value for the money you pay... I’m willing to pay more for good food but Coba... no your food does not match the price you ask for it.
Never again and i’m really disappointed.
We ended up going to a Febo and ate there after this.
2 stars are for the staff and vibe of this place NOT...

The restaurant itself has a cozy and romantic ambiance that adds to the charm. It's the kind of place where you feel instantly comfortable and relaxed. The cocktails they serve are truly out of this world. Each sip is a burst of flavors that perfectly complement the meal.
Having visited this restaurant numerous times, I can confidently say that I've tried almost everything on the menu, and I still can't pick a favorite because everything is simply spectacular. The attention to detail in the preparation and presentation of each dish is evident.
For those who enjoy wine, the restaurant offers a selection of organic and super tasty options. They also have a great variety of Mexican and artisanal beers available. Additionally, it's worth mentioning that this restaurant is dog-friendly, which is a lovely touch for pet owners who want to dine with their furry companions.

Read moreThe moment I walked in I was convinced that the food was gonna be amazing, because of the great interior. Unfortunately this wasn’t true at all.
The first issue we faced was the table, the seating isnt very comfortable especially if you’re tall or wearing heals etc. My legs could not fit under the table, same for my brother and father.
Also the menu is not very clear for people who don’t speak Spanish or aren’t familiar with Mexican food since everything is named in its traditional names etc.
Back to the food which is the most important. The pork tacos, really lack in flavor. They look tasty! But even the pineapple doesn’t taste juicy and sweet like a regular pineapple. Which was so weird to us. The meat doesn’t have any flavor at all. I would definitely SKIP this option! The beef brisket taco was way better but not one I would come back for. The flavor of the meat was there but still not worth the price. I’ve had better. We also had a taco with fried fish and this one was veryyyy bitter because of the lemon peel on top. When we took it off there was no flavor left at all.. disappointing.
Overall the food lacks everything you expect, spices, tangy, sour and nice traditional Mexican flavors.
I understand making a place as authentic as possible and wanting to create a certain atmosphere. But its also important to think about comfort and serving a customer. I just feel sorry for this restaurant because the staff is very nice and polite. But the food and pricing is just not it. I would not...
