All I can say is WOW! I had zero expectations of a decent Indonesian restaurant in Arnhem and the food blew me away! Ok, the starters were not that great as they were picked for me by the restaurant (pork pastries and spring rolls), but the mains that were picked by the restaurant were OUTSTANDING!
I am SOOOO fussy when it comes to decent Asian food, I was spectacularly blown away by the delicate tastes and the spiciness of the food. They did ask if I wanted it spicy, and boy was it, with so much taste! I was so impressed that I had to speak to them about their food and restaurant. I would love for them to open up a branch in London, UK. It would make a killing!
Definitely worth trying - worth noting that the rice table is only available to 2 or more people, but the fried rice with prawns and pork, as well as the spicy beef curry and the beef satay were to die for! VERY different from Malaysian or Thai.

Read moreWhat a beautiful and delicious Indonesian restaurant, the atmosphere truly feels like I was In Java.
So, Indonesian friend told me about this resto, she said its only few meters away from Central Station. She went to resto it was still closed early in the morning. Lucky me, because I have other agenda in the morning so I back when lunch time, I stopped by while the rain was pouring and I was craving something warm.
Voila! a comforting bowl of soto ayam with (plenty of rice). It was truly the taste of home. Of course, soto ayam isn’t complete without a squeeze of lime, so I asked for a lemon slice, and it made the flavor even better.
To end the meal, I was treated to a cup of sweet iced tea from Pak Raafi and om, something I always crave in this land of soft drinks. A perfect touch of...
Read moreGreat Indonesian restaurant situated in the center of Arnhem. Wonderfully decorated with plenty of woodworks and even small wooden cabins. The staff is friendly and helpful. You have lots of options. Go big with all you can eat, eat varied with a rice table (rijsttafel) or if you know what you want you can choose directly. I chose nasi kuning Batavia and soto ayam, sate bali and lontong rames. The soto ayam and sate bali were outstanding. However the nasi and rames had some issues, mainly a lack of saus which combined with the dry rice (normally a good thing) made everything a bit too dry. So the tastes were good and it could have been a 5 out of 5, but on that front it could improve a bit. Furthermore i can easily recommend this restaurant. One of the more authentic indonesian experiences...
