Turks Restaurant Troya — Restaurant in Arnhem

Mixed feelings about this restaurant.

Pro's We got a basket of bread with delicious garlic sauce on the house, which was attentive.

No's The owner gave me a little bit the creeps. In the end I could get a smile off his face but I had to make some very universially true jokes and compliments to make it happen. Replacing the owner with a more friendly face at first entry point would be nice.

Food in our case tastes good but was on the higher end. It was thanks to the basket of bread we got our stumach full with 1 drink each person, an appetizer & mixed main course (shared by 2 people as we are not the biggest of eaters)

Ambiance: I do not know what those LED strips in my face flashing all colors of the rainbow would add in ambiance, but for the love of Allah, remove them. In addition, swim diploma's of your grandchildren? Sweet but unprofessional.

Toilet: Whoever made this arrangement should be fired. My god how inconvenient it is to pee in the uriniour in the men's corner. Thats just... it would hit Facebook build fails for sure.

Price: I wonder why an Irish coffee has to be costing 8.10 but a Turkish coffee only 3.95, Some of the prices seem excessive.

All in all, mixed feelings about this restaurant but I do think its going to be a one-time try only unless they really make a sizeable overhaul a la Gordon Ramsey style saving restaurants from the brink...

Decency for food and reverse for service.

The food was good and tasty, the flavors were eccentric at best, but also noticeable at worst, so a solid adventure for your tastebuds.

Sadly the staff was very unreliable, unreceptive. I came I. Early for a reservation and wasn’t allowed to wait inside, said staff was calling there family while cleaning and denying my entry. The staff itself was sadly unable to understand Dutch or basic English which made me and the people around me feel a bit unwelcome.

Troya Arnhem grote flop restaurant!

Wat een ontzettend slechte ervaring hebben wij gehad in dit restaurant genaamd Troya Arnhem. Het noemt zich een Turks restaurant en dat is een grove belediging voor de Turkse keuken.. Als voorgerecht hadden we champignons in een soort sausje wat er goed uit zag op de foto van de menukaart maar in het echt een grote teleurstelling. De gefrituurde inktvisringen waren te olieeig maar konden we wel hebben omdat we grote trek hadden. De tavuk si’s (kipspies) was verre van wat we gewend waren en was smaakloos en de bekende grillsmaak was er ook niet.,De opmaak van het bord met saus uit blik en groentes uit blik was wanstaltig. Topppunt van misère was de adana kebab die stonk en was raar rood en smaakte verschrikkelijk. We hebben hier geen enkele vervolghap kunnen nemen omdat dit niet verantwoord was. Toen wij de ober dit mededeelde trok hij zijn schouders op en vervolgde zijn activiteit. Daar zaten we dan ons verheugende op een etentje op het terras aan de Rijn. Het enige wat smaakte was de koude cola uit een flesje. Toen ik aan onze tafel de manager op ee hoogte stelde van het slechte niet Turks waardige eten (wat we wel verwachtten) werd hij geïrriteerd en zei dat hij geen klachten had over de adana kebab en dat ik niet moest zeuren. Bij de kassa geen enkele beweging om onze slechte ervaring te compenseren. Sterker nog; we kregen ook nog beledigingen te incasseren. Onbeschoft en onbeschaamd. 77 euro leergeld betaald. Mensen, ik waarschuw u dan ook. Ik heb de reviews van dit verschrikkelijke restaurant vooraf niet gelezen met deze slechte ervaring als gevolg.. Mijn advies is dus niet gaan. Doorlopen.
