Salathai — Restaurant in Arnhem

First off.... I've been to Thailand and I know how good the authentic Thai kitchen is!

That being said. Sala Thai is my favorite Thai Restaurant in The Netherlands.

The deep fried whole fish in creamy Thai curry sauce. You will only get it better if the same chef made it in Thailand!!!

The Boss and I are regular visitors here. We had almost the entire menu...and Salathai does not disappoint one bit. We can say for a fact that if you like Thai food. You will love Salathai.

The waitresses are very friendly. When you've had a certain dish and like the specific curry...and you want it with something else...that will talk with the chef to see if it is possible to do so!

Only downside is ...because of the fact that they prepare freshly made dishes...is that you sometimes have to wait a bit longer.

But....it is still worth it.

Starters...just take the mixed plate so you can taste the different starters.

We will see...

My wife was just back from the hospital and she wanted to have tomyum soup. I used to buy from BKk thai but thought will give salathai a try. I bought 2 tomyum soup yesterday. Oh my god, it was disgusting. Since when tomyum soup in dark brown in colour? Even my 7 year old said what kind of tomyum is this? Fake food. This place is for people who never been to thailand or doesn't know how thai food tastes. Utterly disrespectful and pathetic. There should be a law for food fraud. If you are going to make your own version of the soup then give it a different name, don't mislead...

Unfortunately they can’t get an order right. We have tried to place orders from here multiple times and even when you call back to confirm the instruction notes are taken into consideration, they don’t seem to remember or pay attention to them. Neither of my meals came with any meat today (this was a re-order because the last delivery was also wrong) because they said the kitchen just didn’t see the notes, again…. Receipt clearly shows beef tenderloin.… this very annoying and we won’t risk ordering from here again. Not worth it when they can’t get the basic...
