I'm writing this because our expectations coming here were just too high. A lot of the other people who reviewed this place praised it and I can only guess that they simply do not know REALLY good food.

For all the people who want to go here for some great food, please pick another place. Food wasn't bad but it was far from the greatness so many people here wrote about. It was alright, but overpriced. I am okay with paying a little more for a nice location, but this wasn't the case.

The restaurant looks amazing and the location is absolutely perfect. It's right on the beach, atmosphere is great, everything was clean, choice of music was adequate and the overall experience was good.

That being said: the service missed our empty wine-glasses several times. The place was busy and so were they, but on a Saturday you just need to get more staff if two people can't handle it. They were nice and friendly but really slow.

Food was okay, but far from what we expected.

Maybe it was because of the very busy Saturday, maybe the kitchen had a bad day and maybe two people who were supposed to be working service got sick on short notice.

I really do not know. I do know however that I am not going there again. Too much money for dinner that was just slightly better than...

We made a reservation here for diner and they got back with a personalized response that they will be looking for a great table for us. And a great table it was. Before I begin about the food I'd like to give the people working there a 5 already. Great service and very friendly.

Now of course the food. We started with a tasting of different kinds of starters which is an absolute pleasure to eat and expanded my taste. The Tuscany style tomato soup is a big recommendation if you are looking for a starter instead of the tasting.

The main I myself had the fish of the day which was perfectly prepared. I rarely ever had that good fish. And my girlfriend having the hamburger which as well was great.

The deserts we had the brownie with ice the whole combination was perfect and melted figuratively and literally.

I would really recommend going if you are wanting to go for diner or lunch. For me its now in my top 5...

The food was really, really good. Both the fish and the beef were fresh and of good quality. The entrecôte came medium on a mash of cauliflower, accompanied by grilled green asparagus, broccoli and yellow carrots. As a side I’ve received one oven potato and a half corn on the cob. The steak came medium, as ordered. The fish came in a rich butter sauce accompanied by the same vegetables as before. The side were crispy, a little too oily, fries. Although we were not served any alcohol their fever tree Indian tonic water is fantastic. The cheesecake was moist and the crumble, well crumbly. Alongside came one of the best scoops of chocolate ice cream I’ve ever had.

The service was really kind and charming. However not all waiters speak German, so English can be necessary.

The atmosphere is great, moody and dark but still comfortable. Since there is no music playing in the background there is no need to...
