Club Tropicana — Restaurant in Bonaire

Club Tropicana Beach Brasserie was excellent. Yes, there are mixed views, but in my opinion, people have to understand and accept the environment. Is it a little "pricey"? I didn't find any place in Bonaire that was not. Even the food trucks, as someone recommended, was pricey. The restaurant is in a resort, of course it will be a little expensive. If you exclude entitlement and bias, the food is actually good. Yes, they have burgers, sandwiches, and salads. it's good for what it is. However, I stepped away from it and tried their whole grilled sea bass. What a great choice. The fish was simply and wonderfully prepared. The fish was not overcooked like most fish at restaurants. I met chef Daan and Niels who willingly showed me how they cooked the dish. The hostess, Vera, was so friendly and helpful. For those who think the employees were rude, you need to take into perspective that there is usually only one or two of the wait staff for everyone that comes in there. They were busting their behinds in the heat. It's not the wait staff's fault but more the policy of the resort.

If you are in Bonaire, I recommend you stop by the restaurant and order the whole grilled fish....

One of the rudest waitresses I ever seen in my life. Here I am in Bonaire at the delphin resort in bonaire and it all begins with was spending $125 on dinner and a waitress telling me after one glass of ice water and my wife drinking and that I can only have one glass of ice water and they're walking by me with buckets of ice with a bottle of spirts in them. Then the next night we are on the property and we grab a drink at one of the property bars. We sit down by the beach and the same woman who I tip $20 the day before tells me I can't sit there. There's nobody in the bar but two couples sitting in the chairs looking at the ocean she tells me I have to leave.... And it looks like they were getting ready to close and this is all outside mind you. I didn't purchase those drinks there and now get this. I'm on the delphin property. We are Hilton' rewards member and we are being put...

My friend and I went here to eat for dinner. The menu selection was limited. We didn't see much that appealed to us so we got the chicken bites. They were not well seasoned and came with some sauce that must be an acquired taste. The waitress we had was horrible. She bought us water with no ice. Once she bought the food, we never saw her again. She did, however, go to other patrons to check on them. Then we had to ask another waitress for to go boxes and the bill and still sat and waited for that as well. Needless to say if I come back to Bonaire I WILL NOT...
