The resort had a few things that were really great like the view from our apartment, the design inside and outside our apartment. The number of parking spaces and the nature around the resort. The people at the resort were very friendly and very easy going. Even if there was a problem or if you are in trouble, they respond very quickly. So the service is great. Also, I felt safe walking on the resort, due to the video cameras and security that often drives around the apartment in the evening and at night. But there were also things that could have been done better. The first thing was that when we got to the apartment it wasn't very clean and there were things from the last visitor in our apartment like shampoo bottles. Also, the whole apartment was not completely clean because the floor was dirty with hair and other things, the dishwasher probably didn't work properly because the filter of the dishwasher needed cleaning. This was why we probably had dirty plates and other things we needed for breakfast the next day after we arived at the resort. The towels that were there for us were also dirty. The prices are way too high because if I compare it with drinks in Kralendijk, in the resort it is much higher for drinks or other things than in Kralendijk. But there is one big thing that made me feel uncomfortable by the pool to relax. This is a shame because I love this pool at the paradise bar that has the perfect depth and length of the pool. But there is no security or anyone to supervise. I had noticed on a warning sign that anyone who swims in that pool is swimming at their own risk. This sign was indicated with rules such as no screaming or running etc. But if then six children by the pool run, scream and jump without looking at where they jump on top of people or the same children jumping from things that could easily go wrong if you jump off there, then I think it would be saver for everyone to put a lifeguard or a supervisor there. Because it wasn't swimming in a very relaxed environment when three kids almost jumping on your neck, head or shoulder or jelling and shouting. This took place almost the entire two weeks of my vacation. The last thing, I liked to say that I had a great time here with many memories and great adventures. Maybe, if these things change one, I'd come back and raise it to four to five stars. But one thing is certain: I will come back to...
Read moreNice resort that is 3-4 out of 5. We rented a rooftop two bedroom suite during the Christmas holidays and it was very busy and I'm guessing fully booked. The property was a good value and felt safe and not noisy. The resort is actually located one more street back from the main road but essentially attached to the main building that houses the reception. Look on satellite view and you can see it with the pools. The property and rooms were clean and in good condition. We had a lot of room both inside and out. The rooftop area was really nice, but it all gets wet when it rains. Beds were acceptable but not great. The kitchen was reasonably stocked but we still had to ask for some dish towels etc. We enjoyed our stay but would probably look elsewhere for next time.
Pros: clean rooms staff were pleasant and helpful Jura semi-Automatic espresso machine in our kitchen unique and nice pool area with sand around the perimeter bar and pizzeria also had good food at a good price air conditioning worked well was not a noisy location even though it was Christmas holidays convenient southern location that's 5 minutes by car to the main Te Amo Beach and the airport and shopping
Cons: doorless shower floor was not sloped properly so there was a lot of water that leaked onto the rest of the floor only room bath towels were provided and no beach towels only dish and dishwasher soap provided, no other soap or shampoo no dive lockers or rinse stations for dive equipment parking was difficult to find and tight around the buildings most of the USB ports did not work there was a broom provided but it was very worn and the vacuum provided did not work no walkable...
Read moreWe were very disappointed to find that this place is far from a luxury resort. We rented a second-floor unit with a balcony, and while the room itself is spacious and the balcony is nice, there are several issues that need to be addressed.||First, the service is lacking. Towels were stained and had holes in them. There was no dish soap or detergent provided for the dishwasher. The housekeeper was supposed to come in on the third day, but she never showed up during our five-day stay. ||Additionally, the cups and plates were dirty when we arrived, and it was clear that the dishes had been placed in the cabinet without proper cleaning. There were only two pans available, and they were in terrible condition—dirty, rusted, and old. Overall, the cleanliness and service of the place left much to be desired.||This resort has no receptionist or security, which means anyone can come and go freely. The pool is open to anyone walking by, and unfortunately, it’s not very clean; the surrounding sand only adds to the mess. |One of the most frustrating aspects is the PARKING situation at night. After a long day of fun and nature, returning to a place with NO available parking can be a hassle. We often had to park on the street. ||Additionally, the check-in and check-out processes are completely self-service, and there’s no one available to assist if you need a late checkout. I would not recommend this place, especially if you...
