Beers & Barrels - Breda — Restaurant in Breda

Very disappointed. DO NOT EAT HERE, UNCLEAN!!!!

I came with a group of 12 people, meaning business and money!!!

We were seated next to the open kitchen. First, The waitress (a blonde hair girl) asked for our drinks. I chose a berry iced tea( thinking it was a tea drink) when the drink came out it tasted like lemonade and sparkling water. Immediately after the first sip, I told the waitress I didn’t like it. Her quick reply was “ I can’t take it off your bill.” She didn’t even ask me if I wanted something else or that she was sorry or anything. I was really caught off guard by her inability to show courtesy to customers

Second, My coworkers Noticed the cook was touching all the food with his hands and touching his face, his hair, his nose and wiping his sweat off and was not washing his hands and touching the food again. It was about 30 mins of him not washing his hands that I went and got somebody. I told another waiter that the cook needs to wash his hands because we have someone in our group that is vegetarian and she can’t eat or touch meat. He said okay and walked away, again showed no courtesy.

Another half hour goes by and no one tells the cook. So I got up and went to the cook myself and asked him nicely To please wash his hands. I kid you not the Cook Looked at me (the customer) and replied “I don’t care”

I was disgusted at this point. I looked around no one was wearing hair nets, the food was all over the floor, the customer service was horrible!!!

Our bill was 528 euros. To spend this much money at a restaurant and to be treated like this is horrible.

I sent an email to the restaurant the night this happened and still haven’t received anything back, I’m afraid at this point for the safety of the customers and how unsanitary this...

We had a bday celebration with 13 people, therefore they could not provide us to choose from the menu but from 3 dishes and one appetizer. They did not have the vegan option so i was able to order a vegan option from the menu. Even if you don’t want appetizer you still need to pay 27€ for the appetizer and main dish. So even if some of us did not want to have that(nachos with chicken) we would pay the full price. So we said we want it. One hour later they brought the nachos and we were already waiting for the main dish, because we said that we want to have it bring to us in the same time. Then at 19:30 the waitress said that we need to leave, because the table was reserved 17:00-19:00, which we knew about but the main dish was still not on our table!! The manager said that there was a miscommunication between each other. This makes us furious because we ordered the food and waited for it! They should have delivered it even though the reservation was over 7pm!! We paid for what we consumed and left. We only enjoyed it because of...

Used to love this place, but sadly it's been hit & miss lately (hence the 3* and my review), both in terms of service and food. Service seems to be unwelcoming and forced lately, starting with the host (seems like he's doing you a favour when he looks up your reservation and finds you a table), waiters seem overly stressed and rushed (taking away unfinished plates, saying things like "you know you have your table until 8 right, my shift is about to end"). I had guests over and I'd spoken very highly of B&B, needless to say they didn't have a great experience that day. Shame! In terms of food, the last couple of times the chicken burrito wasn't great at all and it's probably my favourite dish there (huge chicken bone found inside - could have chipped my tooth, nachos were insanely salty so couldn't eat them).
