Joey's Smokehouse Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Curaçao

I made a reservation for 4 people at 9 PM online. When we arrived, we had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated—not a big deal. Once we sat down, we immediately placed our order since we already knew what we wanted.

Unfortunately, the food didn’t arrive until 10:44 PM—after waiting an hour and 30 minutes. Throughout that time, we had to constantly ask the waitress for updates, and every time she just said, “It’s coming.”

When the food finally arrived, it was a massive disappointment. What looked delicious turned out to be awful. Only the fries, corn, and mac & cheese were edible. The ribs had an overpowering “smoke” smell and taste that lingered even on our hands. Everything—including the fries—was cold, and the chicken was so dry it fell apart. The ribs were by far the worst I’ve ever had.

As for the service? Let’s just say it didn’t help the experience at all.

We went here to enjoy superbowl 2024. Friendly staff who will assist you with a smile. Great place to hang with friends and family. The sliders and brisket were good. For us the buffalo wings really stood out. Crunchy, not too spicy or sour. The sauce on the corn was also tasty. The cheese on the macaroni was gooey, but it could have melted a bit more. Thats just my preferance. Be carefull when you eat, because the food comes out very warm.

Update: visited here recently for take out. The service is still excellent. They take your online order and proces it fast. A plus is they ask what time you want to pick up your order. You get your food warm and the taste is great. Really like the brisket... soft and melts on your tongue... the baked potato loaded is also deliscious... you can really taste the smoke when eating the chicken. I prefer the classic new york hotdog above...

The staff seems to have no idea how to serve a large group, serving food inconsistently and missing items of the order, one of the items was not made and our friend had to leave without having been served food. This was even when the place was not busy. The missing item was eventually served to go but it was clear it was hurriedly made and part of it was uncooked, the bacon, which is DANGEROUS to serve uncooked.

As we were discussing the the subpar service the staff made the music louder so our complains were not heard by the other tables which is plain bad taste and unacceptable behavior.

Do yourself a favor and do not come to this place, a truck di pan will give you better service that this trainwreck of...
