Very disappointed. We ordered the mixed grill—pork was dry, steak was tough, and worst of all, I found a wire in the chicken that hurt my mouth. Told the waiter, who said he’d talk to the chef, but nothing was done. No apology, no explanation until I asked again—and was told it came from a kitchen cleaning item they had thrown away. Totally unacceptable. I used to come here often with my mom, but after this experience, I won’t be back. Terrible food and zero accountability. Unethical and careless!
Following the review I posted above, I have just received a response from the owner, and I feel compelled to say:
Thank you for your response, but I must respectfully correct the statement that “no concerns were brought to your attention.” I informed our waiter immediately after biting into the chicken and hurting my mouth on the wire. He acknowledged it and said he would speak to the chef, but nothing was done. I waited for someone to follow up—no one came, no apology was offered, and no effort was made to replace the plate, explain the situation, or offer any gesture of courtesy. I had to ask again myself, and only then was I told it came from a cleaning item that had been discarded.
As someone who works in the industry, I understand that mistakes can happen—but what truly matters is how those moments are handled. A face-to-face apology, concern from the chef or manager, or even a simple “we’re sorry” with a kind gesture could’ve made a big difference.
Instead, I left feeling dismissed and unsafe—chewing on a wire is not a minor issue. The lack of care was deeply disappointing, especially as a longtime customer who used to come often with my mother.
I shared this not to be negative, but because I believe honest feedback helps businesses grow. Sadly, this experience showed a lack of accountability and empathy that I hope will be addressed...

We ordered a ‘rijsttafel’ for 2 (88 guilders) and it was not good. Everything lacked taste and was extremely salty. The satay was not satay. It was just a very liquid sauce with a lot of kurkuma powder. The sweet & sour dish had a very wrong sour taste, as if the food was not eatable anymore. The spring rolls were bathing in a layer of oil and the filling was extremely salty. But the worst part were the dumplings. After I took a bite and swallowed it I saw how pink the meat-filling was. I was a bit shocked as I’m pregnant and have to be careful with (raw) meat. After we left the restaurant a message they called us. When we told them about the ‘raw’ meat their reply was: how is everything else? No explanation or whatsoever. So after that dumpling I totally lost my appetite and I’m still a bit worried. Hopefully we won’t get sick.. so no, unfortunately I can not recommend this place and I’m not ordering again either. For that amount of money there a plenty of other...
Read moreAwesome restaurant for meat eaters and vegans/vegetarians alike! We are 100% plant-based so we started off with the veggie deep fried wontons and pan fried dumplings which were both delicious. For our main course we got the General Tso and sweet & sour chicken entrees but substituted for their mock "chicken" which had an amazing texture. The General Tso was our favorite because it was PACKED with flavor! We also got 2 sides of fried rice which is already made without egg. The food was sizzling hot, with generous portions and tasted amazing! The ambience/service was also great and if it is your birthday, they will do a nice surprise for you at the end of your meal. :-) Oh, to top it all off, they have an extensive wine list if you wish to enjoy a bottle of wine with dinner. 10/10...
