Visited Brasserie 1653, a hidden gem café located inside the Royal Delft (Porseleine Fles) museum in Delft.
We originally came to visit the museum itself, which is a very historic place for Delft Blauw, which js the city’s iconic blue porcelain. To our surprise, it also has a café with a stunning courtyard garden. The atmosphere felt truly historic, and you could sense the heritage all around (seeing from the architecture, I think the café itself has been there since around 1963).
We tried a Cappuccino, Coffee, and their Appleflap. Everything was really good! It is a bit on the pricey side, but considering the beautiful setting, historic charm, and quality, I think the price-to-value is well worth it. Definitely recommended if you’re visiting...

The food is not traditional at all, quite random assortment, though everything tasted fine. The desserts were disappointing. Really basic flavours.
