BizStay Delft Apartments is a well-appointed, perfectly located (5 min walk from Delft Station), new (as of 2024) extended stay hotel apartment good for anyone who would like to have the convenience of location, as well as the amenities, such as a sufficiently outfitted kitchen with dishwasher, and an in-unit washer/dryer.
We stayed in one of the large units, since we were there for a few weeks, and it was great to be able to have a separate breakfast/dining table from a desk and an spacious living room to lounge and relax in. Our unit overlooked the canal, and what a treat it was to enjoy the water view, along with sunlight streaming in through the afternoon.
AC power outlets are plentiful, and where you would logically need them for situating with electronic devices…at the kitchen table, at the desk, in the living room, at the night stands in the bedroom—in addition to the usual kitchen/bathroom outlets.
Since the building is a new build, it is extremely energy efficient and comfortable. Despite temperatures ranging from mid-40°F's (7°C) during the nights and highs ranging between 53°F–67°F (12°C–~19°C) during the day, we never had to run the heat, since energy from cooking and 2 hr timed heated towel rack was enough to keep the apartment warm at night.
For our multi-week stay, we received a starter kit for the kitchen that included a sponge, cleaning towels, a mini-detergent pack for the dishwasher, and a starter coffee kit, so you're not without some caffeine on the first morning.
We found it helpful to pickup dish soap, all-purpose kitchen cleaner, and laundry detergent, since it didn't make sense for us to run the dishwasher with our light use of the dish ware—and the cleaners to keep the kitchen tidy and laundry done. A dish drying rack is available under the sink.
Pro Tips: this is a "self-catering" apartment stay, so self-sufficiency is the name of the game here the Albert Heijn mini-grocery store that is a 2 minute walk away has everything you need—and is a bonus that they take credit cards or Apple Pay the Thur/Sat markets are FANTASTIC for fresh produce, fruits, seafood, meats, pastries fresh bread can be had at the nearby Bakery Holtkamp across from Albert Heijn a drug store (Kruidvat) is across from the Bakery Holtkamp an excellent old school pharmacy (Drogisterij de Salamander) with a very helpful pharmacist can be found not too much further on the town square ⚠️ the smoke sensors are (we've been told) VERY sensitive, and when they go off, they set off the alarms in ALL the rooms—so if you cook, make sure you're running the ventilation hood (setting "3")…I recommend power level 6–8 on the cooking range at most unless you're attentive to not burning whatever you're cooking
The BizStay staff that greeted us are friendly and quite helpful. They gave us a tour of our room and explained basics around operations and what to expect. They even looked up information to a query for us as we were touring the unit.
They're around to help during business hours, but are in and out of the front office. It's not your typical "front desk" setup, but are available by phone if they're not at the front office.
We couldn't ask for more, and we'll definitely be staying here next time travel takes us back to South Holland.
Thanks for the...
Read moreTravelled as a family 2 adults and 2 teens. Absolutely beautiful brand new apartment and the roof top view is superb which really lets you experience the top sights in Delft the moment you walk out onto the spacious well furnished balcony. There are 2 sunloungers,a large picnic bench and an umbrella on the roof terrace which is a great suntrap too.The view from the windows are equally spectacular and there are electric sun screens to keep the place cool and for lots of privacy too.
Biz stay Delft is located right beside the main shopping area and less than 5min walk to the main square. There is bike parking right outside in the garden part of the building. This beautiful modern complex is sandwiched between two picturesque canals and many quaint and historical buildings line the streets. The Biz stay building itself was a former hotel and school house and it has been refurbished sympathetically with all this in mind and paid homage to as seen in the storyboard that decorates the elevator walls.
The high end and comfortable furnishings, fixtures and fittings( lamps, tables, rugs, cushions etc.) really are the icing on the cake for a cozy night in to watch a movie on the large smart tv. There is also a very well appointed reception area offering advice, free teas, coffees and hot chocolates 24hrs a day. The smart digital keys for easy access through your phone are also a nice modern touch.
The Bizstay staff customers service ranks very highly, offering superior and expert advice with rapid response emails to my many(many!) questions and changes before booking. They are all fantastic professionals and nothing was too much trouble from start to finish. I genuinely can't praise them enough. If I was to point out any cons at all it would be that there is only one toilet (but two showers ensuite) and the apartment can heat up very easily so keep a close eye on the aircon particularly at night. The beds were really cozy and a good night sleep was not a challenge!
Delft is stunning, this apartment is stunning too and I couldnt imagine staying anywhere else in this beautiful city. Hire a boat by the canal opposite the train station and explore the canals, rent a bike and get out and see this great city. Lots of history, great food and plenty of shops too. Highly recommend this accomodation as a very affordable option for families.Book direct by email or phone they are wonderful....
Read moreHad a great - almost month long - stay in the most beautiful apartment. Modern furnishings with the nicest little touches. Everything you can think of as far as amenities is there. Reception is always staffed during weekdays with very friendly employees. Yvonne in particular was very helpful in solving minor things. If you stay in the old part of the building & there’s a floor above there’s a littlebit more of a noise possibility, i.e. people walking around. Worth the location though! Can’t say enough good things about the whole experience & will book...
