Indian Cuisine To Go — Restaurant in Diemen

I was really looking forward to trying Indian Cuisine To Go, but unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of frustrating. I placed my order on ubereats expecting a reasonable wait time, but it took over an hour to receive my food—with no updates, no apologies, and no sense of urgency from the staff.

What made it worse was the complete lack of communication. No one checked in to let me know about any delays, and when I asked for an update, I was either ignored or given vague responses. A simple acknowledgment of the wait time or a small gesture of customer service could have made a difference, but there was none.

A restaurant that offers to-go service should prioritize efficiency and communication—neither of which was present here.

Would I return? Not likely. There are plenty of great Indian spots in the area that actually respect their customers’ time. If you’re considering this place, just be prepared to wait… and...

Ordered through Thuisbezorgd app. Confirmation said 90 minutes instead of 45 minutes mentioned as the average time. As it is Friday, I can imagine it's busy so ok. After 100 minutes, still nothing so called the restaurant. After confirming our address they told us the delivery is already out. 20 minutes later, still nothing. Then they called some other delivery guy, because the order was not with the first one. Apparently also not with the second one. Then suddenly it was because of a error in the system, so they never received the order. I can understand mistakes happen, but at least own it up. I feel cheated and hungry....

Today was I was very disappointed with the portions. First, I receive 1.5 naan bread when I ordered two. The portions for the lamb vindaloo was so small, I took pictures and called them, Less than 100gms of meat, two small pieces of potato... not what you expect for 14,60. Having complained, I was told that they can't increase the portion size as they would make no money. The chicken tokka was treble the size for half the price.
