Otto e Mezzo Pizzeria — Restaurant in Dordrecht

I've been here twice, once for my birthday and the second on Mother's Day (today). Both times there was miscommunication and on their end, they refuse to help make the situation better. My friends advised me the first incident here was "niet normaal" and that I should let them know their service interaction was not right, but I'm still new here and don't like confrontation, so I paid the large bill and brushed it off that they were overwhelmed with the large party I brought. This time, I brought up my thoughts about today's situation and the manager don't said "no" and was not willing at all to waiver, so I again had to pay a large bill for an incorrect order due to miscommunication. I've been left with a bad feeling from this place on two special occasions that I've visited them and they've soured my nights both times. Sat down at 1620, waited 10 minutes to be asked about drinks we ordered two coca cola and they came within a couple of minutes no problem. We got told that the kitchen doesnt open till 1700, we were the second couple seated.

Over the next hour we didnt get spooen to by the staff again, no offers to get more drinks as we had long finished our first ones. The staff started cooking and seemed like making food for themselves, More people started arriving and taking tables around us, they had their orders taken and even food orders which shortly arrived.

I tried making eye contact with staff but this was ignored, so after 1 and a half hour from seating we had only got 1 drink and no food order, seen staff 1 tine and people were being served out of order.

Finally we had enough and went down the road to get some food, as after 90+ minutes from being seated they didnt want to serve us anymore after...

We had dinner at Otto e Mezzo in Dordrecht, the Netherlands, for the first time. We have travelled a lot and eaten in many restaurants, and we were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The location was lovely, the old fish market, which is a monument at the harbour. The suggestion of the waitress to share a number of entrees was a very good one. We enjoyed the different anti pasti dishes and the very friendly and knowledgeable service. We ended the meal with a lovely lemon sorbet with fresh summer berries. All in all, a lovely night out in Dordrecht and are definitely planning to come back during our next visit...
