We reserved a table with the 4 course Rising Star dinner deal hoping for a enjoyable evening. how disappointed we came home. Firstly we arrived and found the staff surprised of our reservation and that ended up in us having to wait 45 minutes to get the first course. On our question if we could get something in the meantime (after 30 minutes, because we were starving) so we could at least snack on something, we were told no. food would arrive shortly. it didn't. First course was 1 scallop each. Not really a stomach filler, but tasteful. After that the courses came quicker thankfully. second course sushi was ok. From there, foodwise, it went downhill. third course beef (with good sauce), vegies in broth and fried rice. ok, but not an art piece of asian fusion cuisine at all and finally the desert. 2 balls of ice-cream with whipped cream. The waiter was friendly and could make a good cocktail, but that was probably because he (in his own words) normally didn't serve the tables, but tended the bar. Friendly, but not a competent waiter. The restaurant looks nice, but is filled with guests from the hotel next door that see it as the inhouse hotel restaurant and bar and act accordingly. Was the food worth the 60 euros p.p. Was the service good, was it an enjoyable evening, would we come back or recommend it? NO!! I did give the food 1.5 stars because there were some tasty elements in the meal and i gave the second star for the service based on the merit of our waiter. He...
Read moreDuring my recent visit to this restaurant, I encountered several issues with the service that were quite disappointing. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we had to request the wine list three times and waited 20 minutes for the bottle of wine to arrive. When it finally did, the bottle was already half-opened, and the waiter struggled with the cork, breaking it and bringing the bottle back to the table already opened. This lack of proper service etiquette was rather surprising.
Out of the two waiters present, we often had to seek them out to place our orders, even though there were no more than three tables occupied that evening. We had to repeat our orders multiple times, and the entire dining experience took over three hours due to continuous delays. This left us feeling that we had encountered some of the worst service we have ever experienced in a restaurant.
Although the food was delicious, the high prices charged for dinner do not justify such subpar service. Improvements in the service quality are necessary to match the standard of the cuisine and ensure a pleasant dining experience for...
Read moreThe food is nice and the quality is good. We ordered some take away food through Internet, just 5 minutes before the closing time (22:00) on a Sunday. They called us and first told us that the kitchen was closed and that the chef was leaving so it was not possible to prepare our order, but immediately the chef himself attended us at the phone and told us that they would prepare the food for us. We were really surprised because of this nice behavior so we prepared a really good tip for the delivery man (More than 10 euros over a 39 euros invoice). The food was at our door 40 minutes after the call, but they forgot to bring a sake bottle (375 milliliters, 7 euro) that we had ordered. We realized of this when it was too late. So in one hand the people at the restaurant is really nice and food is good, but that detail of forgetting the sake bottle (a little bit expensive for being forgotten) has decreased the rating in two stars. We're happy with the restaurant anyway and we would recommend it to our colleagues...
