Grand Café Josh — Restaurant in Eindhoven

Had a valentine reservation for the restaurant. As soon as we walked in we were let know that we have to leave within 2 hours because of other reservations which I thought was a bit odd since we made one ourselves and the restaurant was not busy at all before we came and after we left. Service was nice, the lady that served us was a sweetie and explained everything thoroughly. Food was very bland for a high-mid class restaurant. The valentines food menu was not even a third of what the original menu is and I don’t consider that an issue in itself, but that was not communicated until we asked about it at the table already sitting down. I had the kreeftenbisque (lobster soup) as a starter which tasted very weird. As for the main course, the kipsate was very bland. The sauce was definitely burned and the chicken tasted more like the wooden stick it came on than actual chicken. Drink options were very limited, zero cocktail variety, overall pretty bad experience considering a 130 euro bill for 2 cheap drinks and some mid food. Really nice place to have a great lunch or dinner! They offer a broad variety of drinks and food. From burgers over sea food to salads. I really enjoyed the bruschetta, the calamaris and the Ceasar salad. You have the option to sit inside with relaxing music or sit outside in the sun, it's totally up to you. There are sun spaces but also shade spaces, something for everybody. Additionally, the service is very fast, forthcoming and super friendly. We went there just to have a drink on Sunday afternoon. The terrace was managed by only one waiter, so the service was slow. Unfortunately, he brought me the wrong order, but I accepted it to avoid waiting again. The drink quality was disappointing, and when we asked for the receipt, it took a while to arrive, and the price was different from the menu. It was just €1 extra, but with such poor service, low-quality drinks, and discrepancies in the receipt, I won't be returning.
