Spice Up — Restaurant in Eindhoven

I am not writing this review to be mean but I am hoping that this restaurant work on these points. You can see that the staff has a nice personality! Especially the man!! We entered got seated. Then waited way too long for our menu until I told my husband to just take it himself because all the menus were on the corner of the bar. I wasn’t upset because I genuinely thought the girl forgot. Then after waiting again another girl finally came to take our order which was a VIRGIN PIÑA COLADA and a red curry shrimp. We asked the price of the mocktail because the drink price was not on the drink menu and she said 8,50.. I found it a little overpriced but I really wanted it because the picture makes you want it. Then our food came after again waiting way too long and still nothing of our drink. So I asked the first girl and she went to make it. It took so long so I was expecting an amazing drink!! When I tell you all how disappointed I was to receive a halffull glass of some sort of dark yellow juice 😭💔 I didn’t take a picture cause we were just so confused and disappointed. An older woman decided to explain how it was a pre made juice… and that she can’t do anything about it so I decided to just send it back and she told me I could order something else. I wanted to try some Thai and opted for the chicken satay, seafood fried rice, and papaya salad. We asked for very spicy papaya salad and they absolutely delivered! It was amazing. The right amount of fish sauce zing and spicy flavor I was looking for. My mom said it was too sweet, but I didnt mind.

I didnt care for the chicken satay as much. The peanut sauce was a little different to me. I am more used to a less smokey taste, but that is just me.

The fried rice was great. The rice was moist, but not soggy. I dont eat it with soy sauce, but again my mom commented on it needed just a little bit of salt.

The waitress and waiter was friendly and understood our order needs. Impressive that a lot of people speak at least two languages here in the Netherlands, and I am grateful!

As 2024 women’s day comes, I must come to comment, this is the first restaurant in my life where I saw that they provides sanitary pad, they just put them outside the toilet, you even don’t need to ask anyone, when you are in urgent situation, you can just take one. They are provided as usual as toilet paper.

I really would like to thank them, they are really kind to women!
