Brasserie Parc — Restaurant in Flushing

TLDR: Hot sauce spilled on my wife, glass shattered, poor response from staff, and still charged full price — completely unacceptable. Worst dining experience we’ve ever had. FULL STORY: We were 3 adults and 2 small children (2 and 5 years old). When our food arrived, things went very wrong: one dish (mussels in white wine) slipped from the waitress’s hand and the steaming hot sauce spilled onto my wife’s arm and trousers, causing a light burn. At the same time, a glass broke and the table was covered in shards.

The waitress did apologize and tried to help with a cold cloth, but the situation was never properly dealt with: the dirty cloth remained on the table, napkins weren’t replaced, and the glass shards were only cleaned up when we reminded them while moving our plates. Other staff didn’t seem to care — it was actually another family at the next table who offered to help.

With two hungry children starting to melt down, we tried to make it through lunch, but the atmosphere was stressful and unsafe.

The biggest disappointment came at the end: we were presented with the full bill, no gesture of goodwill, no reduction, nothing. When the manager came, she brushed everything off, saying we had “eaten our food” (even though half of it was untouched) and insisted we pay full price.

Accidents can happen, and we appreciated the waitress’s initial apology. But the complete lack of proper care and professionalism afterwards — especially from the manager — was unacceptable. We left shocked and disappointed, and cannot...

Hier een aantal weken geleden een tafel gereserveerd bij binnenkomst moesten wij lang wachten op een tafel omdat het te druk was en er nog geen plaatsen beschikbaar waren !!! Na 30 minuten wachten eindelijk een tafel !!! Na lange tijd wachten op een menukaart kwam eindelijk het voorgerecht de tomatensoep. Die we gelijk weer terug hebben gestuurd naar de keuken omdat er een haar in zat en ook de soep niet warm was , helaas dat kan gebeuren. Vervolgens kwam het hoofdgerecht een medium biefstuk die wij ook terug hebben gestuurd omdat die te lang doorgebakken was en smaakte als een schoenzool !!! Geen probleem we kregen een nieuwe die dit keer bijna rauw was en niet medium was gebakken dus hij kon weer terug naar de keuken de pan in !!! Maar toen ik de biefstuk na lange tijd voor de 2e keer terug kreeg was mijn vrouw inmiddels klaar met eten !!! Nu maar hopen op een lekker dessert dachten wij nog , wat ze vervolgens waren vergeten !!! Toen wij dat tegen de bediening vertelde werd alsnog na 10 minuten het verkeerde dessert aan onze tafel geserveerd !!! En toen hadden wij onze buik echt vol van deze tent er kon zelfs geen kleine sorry gezegd worden door het personeel !!! Bedankt voor wat een leuke avond uit eten moest worden maar waar jullie helaas niet aan hebben bij gedragen , nu snappen wij ook gezien de vele en wisselende vacatures op jullie website dat mensen hier ook niet lang willen werken !!!! Volgende keer als we weer in Vlissingen zijn gaan we maar naar een echt restaurant met kwaliteit en service en leuk personeel met manieren en die het fijn vinden om met mensen te werken en in oplossingen...

We choose this place on its ratings and did not disappoint. Had my sisters dog with us and Gordon told not a problem, you can sit inside or outside. It was a beautiful night so we went el fresco. I had tomato soup (good), mussels (a little small but fresh and tasty and a bit early in the season…) my husband had sate (tasty). Gordon was very nice and we enjoyed chatting with him. We are now waiting on our crème brûlées and my husband’s coffee just arrived with the advokaat...
