Walked past and saw the steak menu so asked for a table and was seated quickly as it was relatively quiet, I would say about 25/30%. The time was around 18:30 so still early. I looked at the drink menu, and asked for the house wine in 50cl to be told that house wine only came in the bottle. I showed the girl the menu, she said no sorry that wine is bottle only. So I asked for a glass and it was a Merlot which was ok but very sweet. When the wine was brought I was asked what I wanted to eat I asked for corn on the cob and then the ribeye but I would let them know when I wanted the steak as I wasn’t in a rush and the girl said no problem.
The corn arrived and it was charred quite well but was strangely barely warm, but I ate it. Then within 5 mins the steak arrived. I said to a different young girl who brought it(not original waitress)that I wasn’t really ready for my main so quick but I said ok no problem and I took it. The ribeye tasted very burnt and charred, however it was cooked medium nicely but it was chewy. I know a ribeye has the marbling I eat that also but the meat itself was very chewy.
When a 3rd different person took my plate they asked was it good And I said it wasn’t great but was ok. They said sorry would you like a coffee on the house. As I was sat there with a red wine.
I think a free wine would’ve been a better suggestion?
All in all, not great, nothing special or even ok. I won’t be returning there’s lots of other places much better in my opinion. Amigo’s being one...
Read moreDefinitely not recommended! We arrived a few minutes after 4pm, which was right after opening. We ordered the Paella and Chillaquiles. The food at the salad bar was wilted and stale, looked like it had been there for 3 days. We received the main courses, surprisingly, very quickly after about 10 minutes - from the opening of the restaurant. Preparing all ingredients and cooking paella would normally take about 30 minutes. Chillaquiles was dried out, very greasy with dried cheese. Paella was a total failure, several days old Basmati rice, over-salted, dried out, with curry powder. On this was put a few pieces of chicken, some fish, which the waitress (or maybe the owner?) could not name, even after consulting with the kitchen. And one sad tiger prawn on top. After asking "does everything taste good?" we said no, and stated our complaints. The waitress wanted to bring freshly cooked rice from the kitchen to prove it was fresh. After arguing with the cook, she only brought the bill, for one dish and wine (strange, there was no fresh rice in the kitchen?) We also heard "paella take away and please go to another restaurant". Rude behavior of an offended waitress, no desire to apologize, no scruples. We paid over 30e for one dish - disgusting food and two glasses of cheap wine. Not...
Read moreTOURIST TRAP! The salad bar is not worth talking about, the dishes we not eatable. Especially the spear ribs, which were very dry. Moreover, we had to wait way too long for our drinks to arrive and one side was missing during the whole dinner. The waiter brought it to the table after we had all finished, commenting: "You eat the fries after your food!". The commanding tone and no trace of an apology made the stay terrible. After seeing we did not eat up, the waiters didn't come to our table anymore. Finally the food was too pricy for what it was, about 30 euros for food. I am not recommending...
