De Toeter — Restaurant in Groningen

De Toeter has an absolutely enormous (to reiterate: not big - enormous) selection of delicious (craft) beers and a whisky list that somehow manages to dwarf even that. I can't speak to all their food, but the fries and nachos are some of the best in town. The staff is professional and knowledgeable, and even on the busier days you can still expect to receive service at your table (rather than having to walk to the bar to order). Music is varied but always pleasant, and at a volume that doesn't hinder conversation. Prices are very fair compared to other pubs in town, especially if you consider the service level you get here. Very retro looking interior with very friendly staff. The bar serves their own beer along with few other guest beers. They also have a good collection of whiskey and you can have different tasting platters of whiskey as well similar to the beer. They have limited food menu but they made it tight. The food is really good and even the sauces felt home made. The spare ribs had a very different marinade but they are good in their own league with tender meat.
