Awful food and ridicoulously high prices. Pizza is Turkish style. Don't go there if you loves Italian pizza. The owner replied to my review: "If our pizza is to expensive our you want ‘italian’ pizza we recommend dominos." This reply demonstates once again that this place has no idea of what is an Italian pizza. Domino's is not Italian style, it is American style, and I do not like Domino's pizza either. In the city of Groningen there are several other places who serve decent pizzas. My favourite Italian restaurant in Groningen serves really high quality, authentically Italian food for moderate prices. I am not claiming that your pizza is too epensive. The price of your pizza might be OK but then there is a problem with the prices of your drinks. We have ordered 3 pizzas and 1 salad and drunk a couple of beers and the bill was 90 EUR! The pizzas are excellent thanks to a real pizzaoven. Crust is both crunchy outside and smooth inside. Service is very efficient and effective. The setup with old workshop furniture as tabled is also very appealing. I loved all of that a lot. Unfortunately the place is victim of its own success. The place is more busy than the staff can handle and everyone is working hard to keep everything running. This makes the atmosphere a bit more tensed than one may desire for an evening out. Many customers come here to pick up their pizza and this might be the best option to enjoy an excellent pizza in a more relaxed environment. We've been to this cozy pizza place in the opening weekend. It has a really nice atmosphere with an open kitchen (you could almost put your pizza in the big oven yourself ;) ). Although there are some tiny improvements to be made such as better lighting and heating back in the alley-ish part of the restaurant, which is not uncommon with a start-up, we were served an outstanding tasty pizza. This place only uses fresh ingrediënts. unlike most other fabric type pizza places. The fact that you might not get a table when arriving late on a busy night without reservation emphasizes this.
