Very cosy and friendly staff, makes you feel like visiting family. Everything is made with a lot of attention and expertise. The bread is definitely something special, and they make their sourdough breads without adding any yeast. You can really taste that they use high quality ingredients and organic products as much as possible. I have tried most bakeries in Haarlem and Heemstede, and Artesano has quickly become my new favourite. Also a great place to have a coffee and enjoy one of the weekly specials (I personally love their cardemom bullar), especially if you like a buzzy Latin vibe, and a hearty chat with the owners. Amazing sourdough bakery with homemade crustly fresh loaves! Their foccacia is a family-favorite :)

I Also wanted to try one of their pastry's, so I got a black forest croissant. They definitely didn't skimp on the indulgent delicious chocolaty fruit filling and the croissant itself was beautifully flaky. So if you visit, get yourself some pastries!
