Very good coffee (my decaf soy milk cappuccino was a treat), sweet and kind staff, but not the good writing spot I hoped it would be; they unfortunately also subscribe to the policy, increasingly rampant in Haarlem, that people with laptops should sequester at one big communal table hidden in the back, which is fine for corporate work, but not for creative writing (which is my thing). Found a fly in my coffee and the owners response was to laugh. Also asked the manager if I could open my laptop not at the work table because it was full and they said no. Coffee good and atmos nice but no business common sense or interest in customer retention. I sense they are getting cocky because of the lack of direct competition. Someone should open another cafe nearby… Or alternatively you can try somewhere like Cafe Lief in the Cronje where you’ll be treated...

Fantastic little coffee place, friendly staff, and top quality coffee with a light and a dark roast option for each cup.

Tip: make a seperate takeout section with 1 additional staff during the peaks and the most bussy days, you will earn it back very quickly in additional sales and customer satisfaction. Now people walk out or skip a second drink or snack due to the line...
