I never had such a horrible experience in any restaurant. I ordered the soup of the day today, it’s salty flavor. When it was served, I was so shocked that the soup was too salty to eat. I even asked my other two friends to try, they had the same opinion, so I asked the staff to take it back for re-cooking it. But surprisingly, they re-served the soup, with taking the salty salmon out, but still the soup is extremely salty, even after I poured in 1/3 bottle of water in. In the end, I didn’t eat any of the soup. Before leaving, I asked the restaurant manager (a male guy) to talk, I told him what just happened, I asked if it’s because the soup were all already cooked in the the back kitchen, so they couldn’t change the recipe at all? He literally told me that’s the salty flavor soup, if you cannot accept it, you can order soup with other flavors. I was so shocked with his condescending attitude. I told him I know it’s salty flavor, but it’s NOT the normal eatable salty, it’s extremely salty, the soup was even tasted by my other friends with the same opinion. The hotel has had a nice facelift since we last visited it before the pandemic. Very nice toilets, comfortable beds and the breakfast satisfying. We visited the hotel for the third time, going to the world championship for young dressage horses in Ermelo, as a big group with 36 persons from Sweden and felt very well taken care of. The hotel arranged the welcome dinner and it tasted really good, with a dessert to die for! Coming back from the competition late Saturday night the hotel again served us a nice dinner.
