new Tio Rico — Restaurant in Hilversum

Last time we've ordered 2 mixed grill plates. Food was eatable, but just a few tips; Delivery doesn't take an hour for few reasons: Spareribs are just boiled and baked in the oven, very dry, recommend to eat with lots of sauce to save the dish. "Steak's" are just 2 little peaces of 7x7 cm dried meat. It's disrespectful to call it a steak. Chicken was so hard you could shank someone with it. Gums are just bleeding after this great meal. Please remove the word "salad". "5 euro Kapsalon" includes more vegetables that 2 plates worth of 25. Very-very bad. Same story with the fries.

I'm a big fan of meat restaurants but after this terrible experience I won't recommend...

We ordered a starter of snails and main dish of prawns, unfortunately when it turned up they had accidentally given us a starter portion of prawns. Bit disappointing, but upon calling the restaurant they were very sweet and apologetic. They fixed the problem very quickly, delivering us a full portion of spicy prawns and hot, fresh fries. (Which were also missing from our original order.) Everything was delicious! The snails were also AMAZING. Would definitely order again! Tio Rico’s customer service completely changed our minds from our initial disappointment and we will be future...

Found this place on Google and read that the ribs were good. Being from the states I love some good ribs. They were right! They were fall off the bone tender and had a good char from the grill. Came with 12 ribs, salad and fries for 12.25. Huge portion for the price. Do yourself a favor and go here. Just walk in and tell them how many orders of spare...
