Strandpaviljoen SandCbar — Restaurant in Katwijk

As someone living in Noordwijk i like to come here most of all beachplaces around. The big chairs are awesome right in the sand so the kids can play right there.

The drinks are very nice, the lemonades, juices, coffee's, tea's and smoothies are very tasty.. pricey but tasty.

The first time i was there i had truffle fries that were well covered in parmasan cheese but since this year the cheese and amount of truffle mayo are dissappointing to the point that when i order truffle fries i ask for extra cheese. With the 'extra' cheese the amount is still less then a year ago but doable.

Also when ordering a mixed platter of bitterballs, cheesesticks, vlammetjes and the like i do expect at least 16 bites for 16 euro's. Paying a bit more for good quality is not a real problem but at least make it fair, especially when the food comes straight from a supermarket.

The staff is very friendly and the scan/order system is effective. Despite the overpricing thing we will keep coming because it is a nice place.. we'll juat have to watch a little better...

The chaos there was overwhelming. We came there and we were waiting like 20 mins until we get anyone come to us. We tried to order two coffees, some lunch food and a beer. The waitress was trying to remember that and put it into the system from memory (don’t know why she did it that way but…). Then the waiting started. We received the coffees after few minutes and we were waiting patiently but after 40mins we asked what is going on to be replied “the food is coming soon”. When I asked what about the beer, she told us, she forgot. Overall I would suggest paying attention to the customer and find a solution to the chaos there. The food for the amount of time we had to wait for was just okay (we waited almost an hour to get the things...

De sfeer is opzich fijn in eerste instantie, maar duurde erg lang voordat we werden begroet/een kaart kregen. Namen een kannetje sangria wat best prima was maar voor €30,- niet fantastisch, een borrelplank en wat oesters. Aangegeven dat we daarna nog wel meer wilden eten.

Duurde even voordat alles gebracht werd en van de oesters hadden ze niet genoeg dus kregen we een halve portie, deze wel netjes van de bon afgehaald maar toch jammer want daarvoor waren we éigenlijk naar het strand gereden.

Na de borrelplank duurde het weer héél lang voordat er iemand langs tafel kwam en oogcontact zoeken met de bediening lukt ook niet. Uiteindelijk gevraagd om de menukaart zodat we hierop een hoofdgerecht uit konden kiezen, duurde het een halfuur voordat we uberhaupt de kaart kregen. Toen we vervolgens iets wilde bestellen had de keuken het lef om te zeggen dat ze al dicht waren!! Dit terwijl wij ondertussen al 2 uur aan de tafel zaten en alleen 1x drinken en 1x borrel hadden besteld en al hadden aangegeven te willen gaan eten, gaat echt mijn pet te boven. Gasten heel lang laten wachten op alles en vervolgens doen alsof wij te laat zijn. En er was ook echt níks meer aan te doen. Vervolgens word er 5 min later bij onze buren aan tafel nog gewoon een hoofdgerecht geserveerd dus de keuken was nog niet eens écht dicht.

Alles wat we wel geserveerd hebben gekregen was middelmatig en relatief gezien super duur. Mag echt nog een hoop gebeuren voor ik hier weer terugkom en hoop oprecht voor iedereen dat deze ervaring...
