Burger King — Restaurant in Kerkrade

My experience at Burger king. A few days ago I didn’t know what I was going to eat for dinner. I decided to go to the local Burger king. I can say I was Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, but less about the service they provide. We wanted to dine-in. This, however wasn’t possible due to a lack of staff. They solved this by closing the restaurant and only open the drive through, which I was not a fan off at all. I like to sit down at a table with my food, instead of balancing all the food on my lap in a small car The food however was great. I ordered their famous Whopper burger and was surprised about how the burger looked in comparison to the pictures of the burger. It tasted fresh and was way better than I ever had at a similar restaurant like McDonalds. With this burger I ordered a side of fries, here it was nice I could actually choose which kind of fries I wanted. They have normal French fries, curly fries, but also loaded fries with different flavours. I choose the curly fries which were nicely seasoned with salt. Another side dish I chose were the onion rings. Although they weren’t the best I ever had, they were really enjoyable. Lastly came the dessert, which was really comparable to the desserts of other fast food chains. I had an ice cream similar to a McFlurry with little pieces...

Reedit: And now it's back to old ways. Yeah, well. Enjoy unpleasant staff, forced choices at checkout and others.

Edit: A lot of it changed after writing review for positive - every thing mentioned - BK works normal hours, staff is on slower spectrum of working but hell, THEY ARE WORKING (don't pressure them for some targets BK, I hate that in my job...). There are still some random things like trash management but even McDonald has problem with that... Go ahead and check it out!

Old review, historical: Constant lack of personel in this building is driving even me away (while food in here is way better than in McDonald). This restaurant usually operate max. 3 hours and close doors on people if they get "overwhelmed". I dunno if 1 burger per 10 minutes is called "being overwhelmed". Pretty sure I can do it faster using my home stove. Only drive-thru "works normally"... sometimes. And in peak hours there's line through entirety of drive-thru. And they work only until 20. I dunno who is responsible for this place or who is owning that place but my suggestion is to go there and sort it ASAP. I'm inside and I saw in one hour 80 people bounce from doors (yes, visibly suprised). How many euros is that in income?

Unfortunately we were locked in the restaurant by an employee.

The explanation was that the restaurant is too busy. They sent people away at the door and had to unlock the door for people to get out. They still didn’t let new people in.

We felt really uncomfortable being locked in. We complained but they said it’s okay and legitimate to lock customers in the restaurant. We had fire safety concerns or if any other emergency or claustrophobia occurred you could have not left the restaurant by yourself.

I honestly doubt that...
