I was given raw chicken within the pasta dish at this restaurant. By raw, it was not just slightly undercooked, the outer skin of the chicken pieces were white, but the entirety of the inside was totally uncooked and pink throughout. Due to the low lighting in the restaurant, it was initially quite difficult to establish this other than via the texture of the chicken.

The dangerous cooking was bad enough, but the response I received upon bringing this to the waitress’s attention was worse. I had to get my phone light out to show how raw the chicken was as the first response was non-believing. Upon seeing this how raw the chicken was the waitress was clearly shocked and whisked the dish away. By this point I felt pretty anxious and nauseous. I was offered a different dish but no apology. Worse still was that the dish was still on the bill when it was brought, despite us being told it would be removed (the least one would expect).

After another round of discussions, we were charged for the full meal with a notional amount removed from the bill. The reduction was less than the price of the raw chicken dish which still appeared on the bill.

Suffice to say the incident ruined not just the meal but also the evening. There was no apology and an excruciating process to even get any money taken off the bill. In the scenario of feeding someone dangerous, raw chicken you would expect the restaurant to go out of their way to make it right. Nothing of the sort happened and I would seriously caution anyone of...

This restaurant is far from it’s authentic claim. For a sit-down restaurant, it’s very low quality food. Every pasta dish it’s essentially dry pasta with barely any sauce to cover it, and no seasoning. The host stand staff was nice, but the waitress we had did not want to serve us tap water. For the amount we are paying for the overpriced pasta and theme park tickets, it does not seem in-line with the customer service standards of Efteling. I know this is not common practice in the Netherlands, but it’s offered on other quick service dining locations on-property so this seems quite hypocritical. Overall, I would advise to increase the quality of the food, since this is a table service restaurant and a higher standard is expected. Even if this means raising the price, I would have happily paid more for a meal I...

We came here during dinner time. They have 2 waiting lines; with reservation and without reservation. I didn't make any reservations beforehand, but luckily, we managed to be seated. They have varieties of food (Italian-inspired), and the restaurant also looked quite nice (even though it was quite dark, perhaps that's just the general theme). After we were seated, they asked what we would like to drink, and the drinks came very quickly. Foods took a bit longer, but it was really not that long, so it's a positive point. I must say that the food tastes relatively okay, it was not bad but you wouldn't be amazed either. Lastly, I would say that the price is on the high end for such qualities. I had pasta bolognese and cost me 18.5. I just wish they could improve on the...

Whilst visiting Efteling, I stopped at Pinokkio's Restaurant with a small group for dinner. We arrived around 5:30 PM, and it was fairly quiet. I can imagine that when the park is busy, it would be harder to get a table, so I'd recommend reserving one either through the app or in person. The restaurant is cozy and has a nice ambiance, and the staff who served us were friendly and welcoming throughout the meal. I opted for a pesto pasta dish, and I can honestly say it was some of the best theme park food I've had in a long time. It was perfectly cooked and packed full of flavor. It's a little more expensive than the fast-food restaurants on-site at Efteling, but I'd say it's a great mid-range option, and it's always nice to have a sit-down meal after a long day of exploring!

We came here for dinner while spending the night at Efteling. The food was fine and met the expectations - we had a pizza and a pasta. The pizza was fine, without too much cheese. We had the cabanara pasta that is made with cream and bacon. It was quite heavy but tasted nice. I had the extra Parmesan which was put on the side but not cooked in. The server was very friendly and attentive. The decor was festive but had nothing to do with Pinocchio. Overall fine place to have dinner while you are there with food in line with what you can expect at a theme park.
