In d'n awwe Herberg — Restaurant in Maastricht

BAD! Bad bad bad! No good words about this restaurant! Sour face waitress, brought the sour soup, her face is more sour than the soup. We had breakfast today earlier morning, all I must say it’s totally not worth it! All in the beginning that blond waitress already rude me, we sat there and ordered soup and breakfast, and that cauliflower soup inside with “ cranberry “! ??????? Please go back to an official cooking school study again, food are taste so bad! Blood sausage so dry! Omelet no taste at all! Well well well, they also talking so loud, there is no manner at all! The moment I said soup is too sour, she just looks at me, nothing reply! Don’t you think this is how you keeps your client? For sure you only get bad comments, no more clients comes to visit your little hidden corner to eat some weird food like this! And don’t go there, they are so pushing with their behavior, there is also no invoice, I was paid with bank, and she didn’t give me invoice, and no machine prints, no facility, only bad face, terrible food, rude service!...

Great little restaurant tucked away from the rest of Maastricht and in a residential part of the city. Super friendly staff, very attentive and great atmosphere. The only issue we had the evening we were there was smokers in the porch area and the smoke coming into the main dining area. Despite trying to close the drapes and door, we could still smell the smoke. Food was delicious and relatively speaking, reasonably priced. Street parking available but you are competing with the residents in the area that use that for their primary means of parking. More likely finding parking along the parallel main road streets than the one the restaurant...

The inside temperature was hot and stuffy no ventilation, it gave an uncomfortable experience. It would have been much better, if they cracked open window or a door for some fresh air.. shame, the food was great, staff was very friendly in other aspects.. Next time, give some fresh air when 30folks walk in for a meal.. and don't be a jerk when somebody says it's hot and stuffy... open a window before...
