Gesha Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Nijmegen

Every coffee has a tale, and @gesha_coffee_bar in Nijmegen is where I turn the pages. Like a sommelier with wine, I find joy in the complexity of coffee flavors – narratives of soil, sun, and rain distilled into a cup. At Gesha, the ritual becomes part of the charm. Presented with a curated selection for my filter coffee beans, I let the aromas lead, and the La Bonita from Colombia by @blommerscoffee spoke to me, its scent a promise of stories to savor.

A chat with the barista turned into a lesson in flavor identification. I’m still learning, but I’m beginning to untangle the subtle threads of ‘floral’ notes, thanks to their guidance.

As the last drops of La Bonita graced my palate, I indulged in a vegan EMPANADA with jackfruit rendang, complemented by a hint of coconut milk. It’s these moments of discovery, these rich flavors, that make my solo visits to coffee bars not just a habit, but a voyage of taste...

One of the best, if not thè best coffee place in town. Hipster coffee can be used as a derogatory term, but it can also just mean a place where they take buying, making and serving different kinds of coffee extremely seriously, in a modern and dynamic atmosphere. This is just such a place! The baristas have earned several prizes to prove my claim, the 'coffee workshop' I had here is the best one I've had so far. Enjoyed the coffee and brownie with Dulce de Leche. The place has an argentinian influence offering empanadas and desserts.

Fantastic location with views to the harbour, perfect for a sunny day. Also cozy inside with modern decoration.

The service was not the most smooth. At some point they had 5 people working, but it seemed like they were reaching capacity even though the place was not full. Bit difficult to order and the waiters...
