We were quite disappointed by our dinner at Lume. I think they were too busy because it all took very long. Our drinks were served 30 minutes after we arrived. The food took maybe 1 hour to follow. The croquetas and pimento del Padron were excellent, but they were overpriced for the quantity. The paella’s rice was sadly undercooked. The recipe itself was good but again it's overpriced. The food is four stars and the service is two stars. So The whole experience adds up to three stars. Food is freshly prepared from good quality ingredients and flavours are very pleasant to the palate. Granted we were on the busiest night of the week (Saturday) the restaurant could have done much better in having more staff on the floor and in the kitchen. This place is one the jewels of Nijmegen when it comes to flavour. A wonderful concept that brings our palate into a journey of tasting experiences. The small, colorful, and incredibly delicious small pintxos and tapas deliver a meal where you won't feel bored eating. Why eat one bread when you can have up to 8 different flavours in one go.
