The Oesterbeurs provides all ingredients for an excellent restaurant experience. The service makes you feel welcome and at ease throughout the evening. A combination of the warm welcome, the small talk from time to time by the staff and the overall professionalism. The restaurant has atmosphere, both on the outside with a traditional village style frontage, which is tastefully lighted at night, and a modern inside, decorated appropriately for this type of establishment. Tables have sufficient space between each other, which allows for a good conversation during dinner, without having to raise your voice. We choose the 5 course set dinner, with intervals between the courses allowing you to enjoy the food and company over a 3 - 4 hours period. The food itself was of high standards, fresh (local) produce, a variety of different tastes and textures, and right sized portions. If you ask me to choose my favourite dish, then I can't as they were all different and unique in their own way. Amazing food and service. Came for lunch. The restaurant is very comfortable and well decorated and designed and their aircon is good as it was a very hot day.

Had the fruits de mer which is a little different as all the items are actually cooked hot dishes, rather then the usual plain steamed/boiled and served on ice. There's langoustine tails, grilled lobster, crab, razor clams, Mussels prawns and scallops.

It is worth ordering this as it pretty much has a bit of everything off the ala carte menu, including shot samples of the soups they have.

We also order some raw oysters. Two glasses of wine, 2 bottle of water, two desserts and two coffees.

They serve bread, an amuse and also a pre-dessert.

Total was €240 for 4 which for the quality of food and services is really good Everything was super fresh and high quality cooking. Was super impressed.

The service was really efficient and friendly. Our waiter was more then happy to make me an ice coffee that I requested, even though it was not on the drinks menu.

Bij aankomst was dit restaurant een positieve verrassing. Mooie zaak en vriendelijk personeel. Het voorgerecht, de tafeloesters een half dozijn, waren erg lekker. De hoeveelheid wijn was karig. Maar vanaf daar ging het mis. Wij hadden duidelijk aangegeven de volgende gerechten als voorgerecht te willen bestellen i.p.v. als hoofgerecht 2x de "diamanthaas' en 2x "de Zeeuwse bouillabaisse'. De gamba in de bouillabaisse was gedeeltelijk niet goed bereid en daarom nog rauw. Toen wij dit kenbaar maakten werd deze fout erkend door Chef Mulder. Als tegemoetkoming een kopje koffie. Als klap op de vuurpijl kregen wij de rekening waar 4 hoofdgerechten berekend waren, dus ipv 18,50 werd er 32,50 gerekend. Rijkelijk veel voor een niet goed gegaarde gamba, wat mosselen, één coquille en 2 stukjes zeebaars in een kopje soep. Ook het andere gerecht werd als hoofdgerecht berekend ipv 22,50 werd het 28,50.Dit is in totaal 34 euro! Na een klacht is dit verrekend met duidelijke tegenzin van Chef Mulder. Daarna kregen wij nog een mail om vooral niet meer terug te komen. Nu lag het dus aan ons maar chef Mulder moet eens in de spiegel kijken. Zíj hebben het niet goed gedaan want het gaat ons niet om het geld maar om een goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding en dat was het zéker niet!! Zie onder de reaktie van Chef Mulder. Dit zegt genoeg.

Naar aanleiding van een opmerking over de bereiding van de gamba's hebben wij u koffie en thee aangeboden en vervolgens vanwege uw opmerking de prijs verandert in voorgerecht.

Dunkt mij dat wij alles in het werk hebben gesteld u tegemoet te komen!
