Burgers Enzo/Juffrouw Coco — Restaurant in Roermond

How about Burgers en NO. The food was hit or miss — my pulled pork broodje was decent and my mom’s broodje gezond was good, but the uitsmijter was mediocre at best. But the service was AWFUL. The servers who greeted us and helped us get seated (it was raining and we had two strollers) were kind and helpful. However, the server who actually helped us seemed like he was somewhere else completely. He came to our table at least twice to take our drink orders before we had even gotten everyone in their seats and asked us if we had chosen what we wanted to eat when no one had opened a menu. And then he came back again within a few minutes to take our food order when some of us were still looking at the menu. When I ordered my drink he was staring out the window and not listening. Every single time he came to our table he was staring out the window like he was looking for someone. Then, when his friends came in, he did everything he could to hang around their table. When we finally got his attention to ask him if we could pay, he barely acknowledged it and then finished cleaning ALL the tables before he bothered to come over. It was a HORRIBLE lunch experience and the food doesn’t make the risk of having such an awful server worth it. Oh, and to top it all off, there was nothing at all on the menu available for children. One of the resto that offers the best breakfast in town. Ate a good breakfast a few times until last week.

My son had an allergic reaction with the scrambled eggs served. We noticed that There was a smell in the eggs but we totally ignored it. Three (same order) out of four had stomach pain plus diarrhea.

Service was top! The girls were very accomodating. They even helped us with the strollers. It was too warm that day but No fan was visible in the resto.

Would I recommend them to friends? Maybe…Would I go back again?...

Vorige week heb ik bij Burgers Enzo gegeten nadat ik had gehoord dat de kwaliteit achteruit was gegaan na de samenwerking met juffrouw Coco. Toch besloot ik het een kans te geven. De burger was erg lekker en mooi medium gebakken zoals gevraagd, de frieten waren uitmuntend en het ijsdessert was heerlijk en royaal. Voor alles een prima prijs-kwaliteitverhouding.

Afgelopen zaterdag ging ik opnieuw langs. Ik werd wederom vriendelijk en warm geholpen door hetzelfde meisje in de bediening, echt een topper. Na mijn bestelling werd ik echter gevraagd om te verplaatsen omdat ik alleen was. De enige optie was tussen tafels waar aan beide kanten gerookt werd. Aangezien ik absoluut niet tegen sigarettenlucht kan en er ziek van word, gaf ik aan liever niet te verplaatsen. Binnen zitten was ook geen optie, want het was prachtig weer.

Het meisje vond het duidelijk lastig, en ik zag dat ze handelde in opdracht van juffrouw Coco, die mij neerbuigend aankeek en me duidelijk weg wilde hebben. In plaats van dit netjes zelf te communiceren, liet ze het over aan haar personeel. Erg onprofessioneel en onbeschoft.

Met pijn in het hart heb ik mijn spullen gepakt en ben ik weggegaan. De bediening verdient zonder twijfel 5 sterren, maar door de houding van juffrouw Coco zal ik hier niet meer terugkeren. Jammer, want ik wilde hier ook vrienden en familie uitnodigen.

Als eindconclusie: ben je alleen en wil je rustig iets eten, dan ben je bij Burgers Enzo en juffrouw Coco duidelijk niet welkom. Kom je met meer mensen, dan ben je wél welkom. Daarom raad ik deze...
