We arrived unannounced around 20.30 at the hotel, just to try our luck and see if they had a room and so they did!. That day (boxing day) the restaurant was full and all parking spots seemed to be full, however the owner came out to show us the way to another spot after which the staff came to get the room ready as soon as possible. We had two little ones with us so the sooner the better and it all was done quickly and efficient.||||The room is spacious, you have a sitting area and the sleeping part, which is devided by a wall. All was clean, the bed was big and comfortable, the bathroom with jaccuzi was fine and allmost all that we wanted was there (I only missed a water cooker and they, instead we had only an espresso machine which I find handy too, but choice is better). ||||We slept well, had no issues with the train that is not too far away and enjoyed the breakfast.||||A very nice stay close to roermond, If you go to the outlet or the old center and you want to have a nice stay and some peace this is the place to be... a Nice little castle with only 8 hotelrooms and a nice restaurant!.||||Really something to recommend in this part of the...

Or better not the amuses, as there weren't. We started with Champagne, which was good but somehow overpriced, and before we finished our glasses the first course was served. Regrettably the plates where cold and so was the dish, sole fillet, which was intended to be served hot. Yet, the taste and presentation where good. Wine pairings also good and plenty. Next dish, seabass, was served at the right temperature. Yte, the pairings were quite similar to the first dish. The main dish, deer, was excellent. Grand dessert was also very tastfull. Overall price/quality at Michelin star level, which did not (yet) give...
