Abrazo Hillegersberg — Restaurant in Rotterdam

Had a some snacks and drinks here last week with a friend. We received a bill of 84 euros, quite expensive for some drinks and snacks. Aperol spritz was watery, Spanish plate (20€) was disappointingly small. But well the location is very nice and the quality of the food/snacks decent. However, by mistake we were charged 1 extra glass of wine. This can happen and is no big deal, I went back to the waitress, the reaction was very offensive, she was questioning it big time and eventually she said: ok I will give you back 4€. Why would you give back 4€ if the wine was 7€ per glass? Eventually we got the money back but it made me feel uncomfortable and what a great service that was! Location is nice but there are sufficient other bars in Hillegersberg which have better price/quality and with far better service where you feel...

I like the way your restaurant is managed, with options for seating arrangements, heater, sun or shade. I especially like your desserts!. You have good staff!

I wish to highly recommend one of your waiters a young man named Toon, who has served at our table a few times - he wears a smile, is always polite, prompt and offers good advice. For example he patiently explained to us older women, the kind of desserts you serve. In fact many months ago, he gave us English language folk, information about tourist attractions in the city.

I like to honour people who go beyond their call of duty, thus wished to express my commendation of Toon and your restaurant!

Corner cafe with a nice view of the water. I've been here a couple times now. Being a bit of a coffee snob, I thought the coffee here was really great! The first time I had an uitsmijter with bacon and cheese and fries which tasted good. Keep in mind the fries are skinny. Like McDonalds fries. Also tried the shrimp croquettes but I didn't enjoy that as much. There were whole shrimps in there, which I didn't expect and it was a bit too fishy for me. The terras has quite a bit of space, and on rainy days you can still sit outside on their cozy couches under the cover. The staff was friendly too. Overall, a nice...
