Bamyan Culinary — Restaurant in Rotterdam

We were there for a few days over New Year and stopped here on our last night. Attended to by a warm friendly woman and seated immediately, although it wasn't busy at all. The food was absolutely delicious, hot and cooked perfectly... we're just sorry we didn't go more than once. At the end she asked if we were away on holiday, for a bit of polite chit chat and we explained that we were away for my wife and mother-in-laws birthday. She told us to wait a moment and walked away. The next thing we know is happy birthday was playing through the speakers and she was walking over with cake (also delicious) with a rather lively sparkler of some sort. Came to Bamyan Culinary in March 2023 for Nowruz. Had a reservation for 5 for 8 pm. Started off ordering appetizers of Mantu (Persian Dumplings with Meat) and Samosas. Really liked the Mantu, nice sauce on top. For main courses we ordered: Chicken Biryani, Lamb Shanks, Chicken Pulaw, Ghormeh Sabzi. I wanted to get the Shashlik but they did not have it, my Ghrome Sabzi was solid though. For dessert we got Baklava and Kheer. Lastly we ended the meal with a nice Chaii Tea. We had one of the best Afghan restaurant experiences here in Rotterdam. The staff welcomed us with warm smiles, polite words, and truly outstanding hospitality. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, with beautiful traditional music playing in the background, creating a very pleasant vibe. The food was delicious, fresh, and full of authentic flavors — and the prices were very reasonable, making it accessible for everyone. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to friends...
