I attended an office Christmas party at BIRD, expecting a delightful evening. Unfortunately, the experience fell short in several areas, from service to dining.
The service quality was notably poor, especially concerning drinks. As an adult, the simple act of ordering a drink outside the office party's tab felt like a major challenge. It was almost as if I had to beg for service, which is completely unacceptable in any service industry establishment, let alone in a club atmosphere. To add insult to injury, they charged me almost 9 Euros for 35cl of Jack (a well liquor).
This sentiment was further echoed in my interaction with (who I assume to be) the manager. When I inquired about the difficulty in ordering a drink, his response was lackluster. He seemed disinterested and barely provided an answer. This level of apathy, especially from management, is shocking and undermines the professionalism of the venue. His indifference not only reflected poorly on him but also on the establishment as a whole.
Adding to the disappointment was the food. It was mediocre in quality and insufficient in quantity, which is surprising for a venue that hosts large gatherings.
The seating arrangement also left a lot to be desired. The setup of picnic tables and benches was more reminiscent of a casual outdoor event than a professional Christmas party, detracting from the ambiance and overall experience.
In summary, the evening at BIRD was a series of letdowns. The lack of proper service, particularly the inability to order a drink, the poor response from the management, the subpar food, and the unsuitable seating all contributed to a disappointing experience. I hope this review serves as constructive feedback for necessary...
Read moreThis review is referred to the pizzeria at BIRD. A club does not need to become a pizzeria, however, when it started a couple of years ago, it was a neapolitan style pizzeria. Few days ago I took some friends there to eat pizza all together. To my surprise, everything was different: starting from the menu that is now pretentiously offering gourmet combination of ingredients and there is no margherita anymore. Likely we could skip all the extra toppers and order a simple margherita. When pizzas came, we were all surprised to see a flat crispy disk getting served. Mozzarella could almost not be distinguished as it was overcooked and melded completely. Tomato was just a tasteless sauce and no real tomato could be spotted, no basil, no olive oil. If it wasn't for the price, I would have thought we were eating turkish pizza at a random kebap place. Despite this embarassing result, the waiter, following his protocol, came to ask feedback. We said we were certainly not satisfied. This is a more detailed feedback useful for the customers. What a...
Read moreDespite the cool events that are organized in this place, the service is horrible. Bartenders are usually inadequate to serve people.
Recently, when I was at Bird, I ordered a beer. After paying, I tasted the beer and it was quite flat. Moreover, the taste was not like the normal taste of beer. Anyway, I asked the bartenders that gave me the beer (2 young guys serving in the garden) to taste it. They didn't and I was told that beer was fine. I insisted that it did not taste well, but nothing again.
It's a pity that in such a nice place popular among students, musicians, and artists, the service is so inadequate. Too many times I has the feeling that they were trying to just get my money without any intention of making a nice impression. Too bad! I hope...
