Frietboutique — Restaurant in Rotterdam

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had such a disappointing experience here that I feel like I need to say something. One of the girls working there was beyond rude.

I ordered fries to take away. The place was almost empty, and I could literally see a bunch of half-cooked fries sitting in the machine, so I didn’t expect it to take long. But it ended up taking over 20 minutes. We were hungry and didn’t think it would be a big deal to sit outside and eat a few before heading to our next stop.

Then suddenly, one of the staff came outside and told us we were “wasting” their paper bag and asked us to “give it back”. We were all shocked and had to hand over the bag and left holding the rest of the fries in our hands. I’ve never had that happen anywhere before.

This really isn’t how you treat customers. If that’s the attitude you bring to work, hospitality might not be the right...

I have always been a happy customer at both other locations(centrum and hillegersberg) and visited today the Kralingen branch. The kroketten are definitely the best you can get (especially the oude kaas & garnalen)and well priced! They even have a deal with the rotterdampas. The ice creams are just divine, very authentic. Great upgrade on the Dutch "snackbar" experience. It's got all the right choices on the menu and all in a fresh and airy venue. Great patat and other Dutch fast food. For a Dutch expat like me visiting my home country, this was a treat! Gewoon lekker! Service was friendly and attentive. Parking available in the evening.
